oh...hang on. I just re read my post......I don't have the premo sound in my sedan. Just the stock standard. I don't want to lose the screen because it shows the air con controls and radio. But I do want to install my carputer I've built without haveing to pay $1000 or more for a new ICC. So I was curious if I moved the current screen...(dodgy lcd) to the tissuebox area, and replaced the ICC facia with a premo sound facia and installed a aftermarket TFT LCD, would there be much hassle ????

SO here I was looking through old posts and I saw Mr Beans carputer project and thought to myself, "How hard would it be to move the current LCD screen, and replace it with a colour TFT with a premo sound facia?" So in thinking that the current one would get moved to the tissue box area and I was to buy a TFT LCD screen would it be possible to do so ??? Would I need to buy anything special, and what is the size of the screen that comes with the Premo sound ???

Car is a 4sp Auto tuned or stock? Running a 8psi generic tune if tuned what are the gaps set at? 0.7 When were the plugs last changed? 4 weeks ago When was the fuel filter last changed? 2 months ago So after a coulple of squirts it then goes away, and wont return even when you give it a squirt the third or fourth time etc? I've had it happen a couple of times in a short 30 min drive..... What fuel are you running? 98 Octane does it happen when its hot? Yes

This is a weird one to me, but may be a known problem for some of the wiser heads out there..... Scenario: Sitting at the lights, you decided to give it a bit as the speed limit up ahead is 100km/h. So you do you get to 120km/h and you feel what can only be described as a vibration and a burble when the accelerator is on....you go off gas, the revs drop and the problem ceases...you put your foot back on the accelerator, and the vibration/burble comes back.......after approximately a minute or so, the problem goes and it appears to be back to normal running..... This has happened to me on a couple of occasions and I'll be f**ked if I know what it is.... Any ideas ????

Hmmm......DHCP must be set up correctly.....I have 2 other wireless devices that connect to it.....my Nokia n95 connects without a problem and so does my D-Link USB Adapter on my main PC........this has got me f**ked......

Well the topic is strictly not true.....infact the network is working but I just finished my car pc and have been trying to connect wirelessly from the pc to the router.....but no luck.....it connects but is assigned an IP address that is nowhere near the 192.168.0.X range that I have allocated within the routers Web GUI. I know the card works correctly because one of my neighbours has an unsecured network, that I have connected to and well lets just say, slightly utilised but the signal is weak as..... So....are there any ideas as to why it's not correctly connecting to the router ???? Cheers guys Kilmo

Well.........for whatever reason....the noise that my actuator was making has resulted in Ford shipping my dealer a new Turbo for my car.... =)

Did I look like sh*t ???? Caus I only had 4 hours sleep....hahahaha.....I like your car mate......but did you know that your lights, the Altezza ones you have are starting to bubble a little bit from the heat of the globes ???? I happened to see it when I was admiring....lol Anyway back on topic.....So my Turbo is getting fixed by Ford tomorrow......should there be anything I should do before it's slotted back in ??? Or should I just leave it and focus on other mods ???? Cheers, Nick

Cat first ????? The reason I ask is.............. Went to see Simon at XFT to get a custom tune. Had loaded generic tunes from the flash box with well, no results.......felt sh*t in otherwords. So here I am watching the dyno run at Simon hits the gas.....158kw......now here I am ( with my little known mechanical experience ) saying to myself, that's not right.....then Simon says those words you hate to hear... "You've got no boost" Turns out the split pin (on the wastegate I think) has broken and fallen off causing the boost to flow out ( where I can't quite remember ) but as it's a warranty issue, Ford are going to fix it for me... =) So if, and when Ford remove the Turbo, is there anything I need to do before they put it back in ????

Is it possible to do this mod with the turbo in the engine bay ??? Or do you need to turbo out ??? And can you do it yourself ???

Maybe a stupid question.,.....but how exactly does the 2nd CAI attatch ??? I'm guessing it requires some form of work required by myself yeah ????

I've heard nothing but good reports about Simon and XFT....and yes I will get my pride and joy down to him to get a custom done. =) The car had 50,000km on the clock, a few minor nicks and scrathes, but I got Centre Ford in Perth to sort it out before I took hold of it. I'm lovin it, it's a good feeling to plant and get the pick up of the turbs......and that's stock =)

Well after waking up at 4am and seeing my brake lights in the neighbours windows it appears that the lights are always on, even after applying the brakes......permanent on. So where to from here ????
