you can go ahead and get a custom tune whilst the car is completely stock and get a bit more power on it, never heard of these things 'needing'a tune at a particular time in its life I would suggest you get together all your parts and have it tuned in one go, save the mulah that way

you should be able to pick up an 03-04 model for around 20k even under if you haggle a little, $5k can go along way with these beast!! as mentioned, do some research, ask the questions, wont go wrong here mate
