18psi is a bit too high on ba rods, id drop it down to 15-16psi.... mines on 16 and has been around there for 3 yrs on Ba rods..so its entirely up to you if u want to keep it there. A full aftermarket exhaust will roughly drop that down a couple of psi for the same power. As for not doing a actuator upgrade and wastgate port, you will find on a colder night, your boost can be erratic. that's where rods end up out the block.

I cant see you bolting it on without getting it tuned to be safe...you will definately see a increase in boost not to mention a change in the afrs, if anyone can bolt in on and drive out of there full noise id like to see how long the motor will last. So id say that the 35rwkw is with tuning

Alternate your revs on the freeway, and dont idle for long periods, and I wouldnt revlimit it straight up......first 400kms dont go past 4k, next 400 goto 4500rpm, it will slowly loosen the motor up and so forth.

Yeh 350 is very much maxed out on those injectors, 60lb seimens are good for around 450, so its only $400 to upgrade to. As for budgets, id be budgeting for failures like trans if its a auto. Im pushing my Ba around the power you want for 100,000kms now and still going but I know a few guys that have had there engines go bang, so one thing to stick in your head is make sure you get a very good tuner to tune your car....and also if u change anything on your car get the tune checked straight away instead of thrashing it around. And dont skimp on servicing reguarly.

I agree go with the total relocation, but in saying that im still running a std airbox on mine and hasnt stopped me making that much power. Just get Dion to up the boost to 15psi, and get a aftermarket exhaust, youll have more gains if u did that.

Theres nothing wrong with more power, just get the right tyres and set them to a pressure that works best for you. Practice goes a long way as well.

oh here we go again *Beep* lol...I agree with ebxmple, regular servicing on the trans and engine, fuel filters, plugs and the right tune, aids in longevity of the engine. im on 106,000 kms 100,000 of that is modded at 300 and over and still going, (bamk2) . I would love to see how long it will last,and if it does go bang, I dont think any of the old skool boys can have this good fuel economy and pwr and last 100,000kms, theyd be tearing there engines every 20,0000 kms. So I wouldnt be the slightest dissapointed. :-)

was this engine pinging its head off, because the damage to the pistons can cause this, and fg turbo motors arnt really that weak compared to a ba engine which is what I have.

4 speeds auto hitting 9's theres only one that I know of, could you enlighten us as to what cars these are. Also these autos are breakable, as is any transmission put into any car. The BTR4spds suffer as there is not enough clamp pressure when u get up into the high horsepower figures.

Well my ute was at mr gloss in Hallam, and I was not happy with it, it is going to mr gloss in moorabin who deal in prestige to fix the problems they couldnt rectify, such as colour matching.

Not good yoshi, it was nice and clean last night, hope sum1 finds her.

quite noisy runners though..lol
