  1. Holy crap, I would have gone off like a spider monkey! Firstly I would'nt have let him fix anything, he's already proved his incompetence to you. Would cut my losses, and drive outta there quick smart. Claim on your insurance, write up a stat declaration of what happened, and let them chase him for the costs. also as others suggested, hit up dept of fair trading, I'm sure they'll open a can of whoopass on him, and uncover that he has no insurance etc.
  2. Nice work mate! I've got a cooler in the same spot, have to remove the foggy for any real cooling otherwise. I also cut a bunch of slits in the wheel well plastic liner and heated them and bent them out like louvers to vent the hot air. Then lined the inside with mesh. Worked a treat
  3. Mate I've got a mal wood strengthened cover for sale in the classifieds , perfect condition, along with a free super pro diff bush (race spec) P.m me or Call me on 0416966639 Gav
  4. which ESP did you get? I've got the Hetfield signature Truckster. its like a dirty rat rod of a guitar. Hasnt been getting much love of late, hardly playing it - even considering selling it
  5. So much tighter and responsive, can feel what the tyres are doing now its not a big floppy mess. Blade bushes were pretty flogged out, deformed and torn, outer spherical joints on the rear upper arm were collapsed, upper inner arm bushes were stuffed also. So in the end, 'ive replaced the following, at a cost I don't want to add up, but it feels like a new car again: Front lower control arm bushes Front and rear bush kits front upper control arm bush kit front shocks / kings springs 57/520 SL's rear control blade bushes rear upper arm inner bushes rear upper arm outer spherical bushes rear diff bush (comfort spec super pro) rear shocks / king springs 68 SSL HD Now its toight, toight like a tiger!
  6. Picking the car up from centreline today, will let everyone know how the car is afterwards.

Hi Guys, Im stuck, removed old shock, removed swaybar drop linkage bolt on that side, now the rear suspension assembly wont drop down any further to allow me to remove the spring?! what am I missing? cant see anything holding it up??? please help, want to get this bastard back together before dark.
  11. I've been quoted about a days labour ($700-$800) to do my job, which is upper / lower front bushes, rear blade control arm bushes, rear upper arm bushes, and rear main diff bush, along with install supplied struts and springs (he said no extra labour as its all coming out of the car anyway.
  12. Interesting XR09, what rear end suspension bushes did you change? that's pretty good going to get it all done in 3.5hrs! Did you do Front lower control arm rear bushes and upper control arm bushes, along with ball joints?
  13. yeah Ive already done diff bushes, but swapping the rear one from the hard sport version to the comfort spec whilst the cradle is out. what was labour for all that Luke? big job!
  14. Superpro bushes from Pat @ Wholesale suspension are approximately: Front lower control arm pair $195, front rear lower control arm pair $70 upper control arm bush set: $60 Ball joints should be around $35 each plus labour - 3hrs'ish? plus wheel alignment.
  15. Im going from Nolathane front lower control arm bushes, to all superpro next week. The nolathanes have been in for 5 years, and just wearing out now, some slop evident under tension. will post the differences once installed. although Im doing rear control arm, and upper control arm, rear control blades and rear upper arm at the same time, so the effect will be hard to isolate to just the change from the front bushes
  16. Nizpro's XR5 is still the fastest in Oz I believe, 123mph 300+front wheel KW's. Its a weapon! Car is running just fine now with an alloy plenum (went for a short ride in it last week).
  17. He is negotiable, maybee offer him like $250K?
  18. Nice mate, what springs does it ride on? its pretty slammed! much drama's with driveways and speedhumps? I've recently bought a new white LV xr5 for the missus, gotta admit, the xr6T has been a bit neglected lately, love the thing. Ours is standard for now, but tempted to get an airtech and tune done.
  19. No luck @ suspension city, Damian said they weren't really equipped to do the cradle out job on the rear ends of our falcons. Front end and rear blades he could do no probs. Nice bloke, and reasonable prices. Got a good price for some rear king springs for the missus new xr5t. will try centreline now.
  20. Thanks Omie, centerlines name come up often, so I'll be giving them a call for a quote also.
  21. all good mate, no need to go to any trouble..I'll swing by and speak to Damien for a quote. thanks again
  22. excellent Pazzo thanks, do you recall their workshop hourly rate? - was it reasonable? Only reason I ask is because a job like this can quickly add up with labour costs. Who did you deal with? I'll swing by there during my lunch break for a quote. Gav
  23. thanks for the recommendation Pazzo, that's not too far from my work, so convenient. Have you had work done by them? I live in Forest Hill (east side)
  24. Hi Guys, I've got a whole bunch of suspension bushes needing replacing, which I have sourced from our friendly forum sponsor Wholesale Suspension, Thanks Pat! Can anyone recommend a workshop in melbourne, capable of replacing all the provided front end and rear end suspension bushes for a "reasonable price"? got a quote from Pedders for around $650 labour, but that was using all their products, I don't think they'd be keen on doing the job if it were just the labour charge? Gav
  25. Hi Darkness, I have a set of 18" genuine Option XR8 wheels I was about to advertise on the forums. I see you were interested in a set but they were from S.A. Im in melbourne (Forest Hill).

They are fitted with Yokohama Advan V103's (sticky as sh*t), but nearly worn out.

Only 1 rim has a tiny bit of gutter rash, they are near perfect.
