  6. There is always something to fix/replace on my car these days

  7. Thanks for the info never heard of PER4MANZ turbochargers so Ill give them a call. So hiddeous if I end up getting a new/used gt35r turbo I should replace both the compressor/exhaust housings as keeping a .70 comp housing will just cause other issues with lag/pipework that really wouldn't be worth the effort unless I plan to modify the other parts of the car to match this.
  8. what turbo you need? I have mine of a FG that's been ported, comp wheel etc for sale

  9. finding a replacement turbo that dosnt cost the earth is a pain

  10. So if I am running stock boost at the moment it might have a negative effect with more lag. So would this be more than a 500rpm difference in lag ??? Also when I get the car tuned then there could be a benefit but only if I am running decent boost(guessing above 15psi) I assume I could just replace the compressor housing as well from my old turbo essentially using just the core of the new one. The way I see it is if I leave the larger housing on then it would save some time rebuilding the turbo and I might have the future benefit when tuning the car. With the negative being a marginal increase in lag ? Also would my stock pipe work need to be changed by using the larger comp housing ??? Cheers for the help/advice
  11. Well I missed out on that core/cartridge as well. Not having much luck with this ATM . After looking around I have found a few used or new gt35r's for sale that have the compressor/exhaust housings on already but are externally gated. Is is possible to get a gt35r and then remove the existing exhaust housing and fit my internally gated 1.06 housing. Most of these turbos seem to come with a compressor housing of .70AR where as my current one is .50 could I just leave the larger housing on ??? would there be any benefit or negative to doing this if it is possible. Cheers
  12. So with something like that I would just remove my compressor and exhaust housings and install them onto the core (cartridge) plus the waste-gate actuator ?? Having never done anything like that before is it something difficult or something I could do in my shed at home ??? Cheers for the help
  13. I have been looking around at turbo's and I assume the direct replacement for the standard turbo is the gt3582r ??? or is the Ford different ? Are there other turbo's which would work and bolt into the existing location ? I just want to make sure I am looking for the right replacement. I don't mind if I have to change my inter-cooler piping etc... if needed. Cheers for any advice
  14. If its ok where did ya get the new core from ? do they have a website ? Just checked the classifieds appears its' already sold
  15. Thanks Conrad I have replied to your PM Also was wondering what is the better Turbo Oil filter MS XR6 Turbo Oil Feed Kit Including Filter http://www.mscn.com.au/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=631 or FORD BA BF TURBO OIL LINE FILTER KIT EARLS XR6 FPV F6 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-BA-BF-TURBO-OIL-LINE-FILTER-KIT-EARLS-XR6-FPV-F6-/170501427061?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b2ad4f75 They are both about the same price but I was just wondering if one is better than the other or if they are pretty much the same. With the filter as if I replace it every time I replace the oil I would obviously want something that is easy to get a hold of. Cheers
