I replaced the filter on mine today. I just got the Repco branded RFF 62. It definitely made a positive difference to the mid-high revs. Although I was expecting an improvement because a few years ago I used to get into the bad habit of running the petrol right down. I mean RIGHT down to DTE reading 0 as I pulled into the servo :s God only knows what kind of sludge was caught in the filter..

These cars are tough.. I got my 02 T with 60k on the clock and it's now done double that. The diff, transmission and particularly the engine feel as tight as they did when I first test drove it over two years ago.

I agree! The turbo is definitely a better car, but in this price bracket you'll probably find what you're after in the Commodore. Apart from the T56, they also have standard 18s and you're more likely to get one with niceties such as leather and/or sunroof. The XR8 sounds pretty good, but they're slower and thirstier than the other two.

Yeah the connectors can be a bit dodgy. My L/H fog light won't work when the connector is clicked fully into place, but it works fine if it's pulled back slightly

That's it mate! Some people have told me it's almost obsessively clean, it drives very well and it's never even looked like giving me any trouble in the 50,000k I've driven it It will be receiving some 'stimulation' in the coming months :D
