Just did a search and found out the differences but which block is the best to use? I dont have a gearbox yet and I think the engine is an early one so what might not bolt up with a BF type

Mate why did you change blocks, you didnt mention any problem with your original one? Im in auto parts and I need a new block for an F6 engine I have just brought for a conversion and the wankers at our Ford parts supplier told me bloks werent available as a part, only short blocks which was going to cost me about $2200inc (by the way an F6 bottom end is actually cheaper than an XR6). Do you want to get rid of yours? Also can you guys tell me the differences between the XR and F6 motors (Sorry to hijack this thread ) Thanks

Same as above Im chasing specific technical information on the engines though, do you guys have an are for that?
