DONE!!! Just send my confirmation e-mail to Simon at NIZPRO, car will be edited and custom tuned on the 30th of January!!!!!
-
Thanks to everyone on the site for your comments! Well, I took bcl's advice and contacted Simon on his Nizpro site and have been in communication with him quite a few times over the past two days. In light of his e-mails and the recommendations that have come from this site I am about 95% booked in for a edit and custom tune for January 30th!! I just need to confirm my work calendar and it's done, so watch out Northern suburbs of Melbourne, there's going to be another (hopefully!!) quick and enjoyable T on the road!! I'm smiling and I haven't even confirmed my booking yet!!! WOOHOO!!
-
Actually in this case I would be happy to do both but the reality is that I won't have the time to stay and go through the tuning process with him (as much as I would like too) I am too busy at work to have any time off to spend with the tuner, this is another reason I am swaying towards Nizpro, as at this stage I am fairly confident (from the comments on this site) that he will have a thorough understanding of what I am after BEFORE I drop my car off and will no doubt with his vast experience with T's know the best way to go.

bcl have taken your recommendation and have sent Simon G a PM on his Nizpro site. To honest I think I am going to go through with them, there seems to be more support out there for them with some very valid strengths! Thanks all, now I just need to find out when I might be able to get it done.......

Unsure if this waws something they had to do to my T at its last service. When I called up to check about its progress they informed me that there was a diff seal that had given way and that there was actually low oil in the diff. They kept the car overnight as they had to remove the complete diff etc to replace it.

Hey guys, there are certainly some personal preferences coming through here, so I am glad I asked this question! In regards to my wants and needs, my car will never (in my ownership anyway) head down the strip, I've owned my T since new (so in excess of 2 years and I am now looking to liven it back up again! I have wanted to play with my T since I got it but have been hesitent regarding the impact on warranty. Now since most of the "common" problems that are associated to manual T's such as diff clunk etc have been recorded with Ford every service I am "fairly" confident that should something go wrong I will have some form of leg to stand on should they blame it on the EDIT. So, really I am looking for something that will give me some renewed enjoyment in driving the car for the "odd" squirt around the streets and to work and back! I am hoping for something around 240ish rwkw but suppose I would be happy with just more power! That said no one digs the hand into the pocket and splashes out the folding stuff without getting the most for their money. So ultimately I am after the best bang for my buck which is going to be constantly reliable and not introduce any dramas to owning my T. Going on this discussion, I can't see how HPF or Nizpro are going to do me wrong at this stage, so I will speak with both and take it from there! I was recommended to go to the Rajab's for the EDIT however based on this forum it would appear that it was a fairly isolated referral!!

bcl thanks for the assistance offer, if needed I will be in contact!!! ;-) I am going to try and contact Simon on his forum and go from there, I think I will be going with either Nizpro or HPF on the strength of the comments on the forum. I suppose part of it will be who can help me out when etc., as I need to tie it into my work. Thanks again!

It would appear through these discussions that both Nizpro and HPF are both valid and worthy options in the edit/flash field. I am going to endeavour to contact both next week and see what my options and likely costs will be and take it from there. A fantastic thing about these forums is that we can rely on ppl who have had honest exposure to these ppl, their product and their reputations, meaning that those (such as me!!) less in the know can hopefully make and informed decision!!! Thanks to everyone so far, it's been great! Happy New Year to everyone!

Doh! Just read Dagabond's response which has a link in it to the HPF site.......
-
xrdreaming - that's a pretty good referral considering that you too are over here in the Northern Suburbs! Based on what I have read on some other links and also these responses I think it best if I get in contact with HPF as well! Any idea of what their "basic" flash and custom tune costs? Thanks again!

In an older discussion someone had mentioned Blue Power Racing Developments (apparently in Campbellfield, which isn't so far from me) and they seemed very complimentary of their service. Does anyone actually know where these guys are and if the highly positive rap was justified? I'll look into both the Nizpro and HP-F sites as well! Thanks, this has been terrific so far!
-
Excuse my ignorance but who is HP-F? And where are they located?
-
Sorry to raise a question that has no doubt been asked before, but here we go anyway!! I am considering getting my 03 Turbo edited and I am hoping that the well informed members of this forum can point me in the best direction of the service provider in Melbourne to have this done! My car has no other performance mods and I would like to end up with about 250rwkw's. I am in Northern Melbourne so someone local would be good..... that said I want to use someone who knows what they are doing and are going to provide the best return for my money! Thanks everyone in advance!

I chose the ever discreet colour of BLOOD ORANGE as I like to blend in!!! I originally ordered the PHANTOM but after seeing the Blood Orange I just had to have it!! I think (hope) that Blood Orange will be a popular colour in the future, I've got mine on a "T" but it looks sensational on a GT!!! Not sure if this will stir a pot of bees but I recently heard "Silver the New White, everyone has one!!!"
