  1. thanks mate, all I needed to know... the conversion seems a lot simpler than I was expecting. might be easier to buy a xrt6 but for another 10g no thanks, and then its just stock... im saving the cash and building up the hardware myself.
  2. the guy that did the conversion still has stock auto and spinner diff! it would be ideal to replace them, but you dont NEED to. and I know I didnt specify but it was for an auto not a manual(ppl still drive manuals these days?
  3. for anyone interested I read on another forum someone who did it and it ends up its easy as pie! just need to replace the ecu with the auto xr6t ecu and go get it reflashed (ford can do it for $100) no loom changeovers or mods.
  4. id be trying to find out exactly what happened and why the bearings have failed... these are built to last WAY longer than 77k kms.
  5. exactly.. a t04z comes in different turbine sizes so get one in 84 or even less if u want psycho torque.. might lose a little top end but seriously who cares, if its a daily driven street car ask yourself which rpm band you spend most your time in.
  6. engine mods arent a problem, its gonna be a groud up rebuild of the new motor. and itll be an auto, which will obviously be replaced aswell. basically the whole lot will be replaced, I can get a na6 ute for 12-13g ish whereas turbos are still over 20g.. no need to spend another 7g on stuff I dont fully need.
  7. hey guys. I tried searching but couldnt find much, no offense but the search here isn't the best going around anyway im looking to buy a ute.. just a plain jane ba model..for the short term im happy to keep it stock and obviously only want n/a so ill be able to get one fairly cheap im sure. Eventually I want to build a nice turbo 6 and drop it in. Basically, is the conversion easy? im guessing computer needs changing, will I need a new loom, new pcm ? anything.. Another question, the newer engine will be built up from block onwards, are the blocks the same?
  8. doesnt load anything for me.. but every other rim I saw on that site is revolting.. DEATH to chrome rims.
