  1. The same thing could have been said about Russia up until 1985 as an argument too. The Concorde used to be the only large commerical passenger aircraft with a perfect safety record up until a few years ago. It only takes one accident to change the course of history.
  2. Four n Twenty is owned by Patties Pies, a locally owned company based in Bairnsdale, Vic.
  3. If Geo Dynamics can drill a hole 5ks deep to get an energy source than they could drill one to dump the waste as well....I'm with Lawsy, the only people knocking are the ones that know f*ck all... ← How do you bury the waste 5kms down and know that the containers arent eventually going to leak. Its not as simple as it appears on the surface, since you know so much please tell us? We would be a nation of tools to go down the nuclear path now. Geodynamics are on the verge of proving up a project with potential to generate massive amounts of electricity. Why do you think the government is constantly handing over millions to them. We have huge gas supplies which we sell overseas when we could use it to generate electricity, instead we use dirty coal. To go Nuclear now would be a cop out.

  5. Looks like the critics agree with you on this album Venom; http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/tool/10000days Think l might give it a miss, l am a fan but drawn out songs give me the sh*ts after the second listen.
  6. Oh nice, feel free to add another
  7. l thnk they are OK, they make people stop and think a little. ignoring it wont make it go away. Sure beats all the Quarter mile times / l beat a HSV etc threads that repeat over and over.

    Gen 4 Is Here

Sorry l wasnt clear with my post, they would be mad not to be considering their own turbo 6. Is was this bit that l was questioning - "but I doubt that they have the knowledge, expertise or resources to make such a move to their car line up" Cheers
  9. Yes alternative fuels will become a more viable option. Maybe petrol hitting $3 will be the catalyst needed to seen us off oil and long term could be a great thing for the environment?

Do you seriously believe that l reckon the VE is gonna be a ball tearer myself. But fuel prices are casting a big shadow over both makers at the moment, have you seen how many Falcons were sold in April. l would think there are a few puckering arseholes around in both boardrooms as present.
  11. Nice pics and a huge turnout Looks like it would have been a fun day.
  12. Imagine the torque steer Zap
  13. Sounds like it could be a great car and at only 36k Buggered ifl know with all that technology why they didnt at eats make CC an option, that could be fairly off putting for some buyers. Selling 40pm should be a piece of piss with the current fuel price. Good move Ford
  14. l paid $1.549 for Optimax in Melbourne today Oh that's right, l dont pay for it
  15. l agree Ninka, it takes many years to change direction and they have been caught out badly by the circumstances unfolding now. l bet Expensive Daewoo wish they had of pursued the manufacture of the Torana concept car when it was unveiled about 3 yrs ago, that car coming onto the market now would gain huge sales, it would be the right car at the right time. Yes the "big two" are great value and unbeatable if you want a large car, but take that reason away from buying one and that's where the quality issue becomes a bigger concern. With smaller families etc the demand for large cars is reducing, fuel prices accelerate this.

10 yrs ago l thought it was pretty funny, its got a it old now. probably still get a laugh if l made the effort to watch, which l dont.
  17. l think there would be more than a few puckering dates in the boardrooms of Ford and Expensive Daewoo at the moment, if fuel reaches $2 a litre Falc/Commo sales will slow to a trickle at best. The wisdom of making such large inefficent cars for the forseeable future must be under question now IMO. Ninka said:- "What I find really annoying, is that people don't seem to understand the impact on Australian jobs, when choosing to buy the imported cars, and then express outrage when jobs are lost at the plants" l think they do, people are not the dumb nor willing to continue to accept crap quality and after sales service that matches it when so many alternatives exist these days. l refuse to blindly support the local industry, they need to get their act together. They need to COMPETE without resorting to patriotisim because after a time if you burn people enough, the quality of the car has to be competitive or people look elsewhere. just my 2c
  18. What fools, glad to see it caught up with them. The cynic in me at the time said what a load of BS - too good to be true etc, good to see it caught up with them. Expensive Daewoo were already struggling which is what led to the campaign in the first place so this is going to hurt. Must be tens of millions they have to handback.
  19. G'day Ian, Do you mean the feint factory dints under the door handles they seem to include free with every BA/F at the factory? Fricken ridiculous that this goes on unaddressed, Ford are burning the die hard ford fans such as yourself with ongoing crap quality. How is the rest of the car, got any pics you can post up? Cheers Simon
  20. Good luck with getting it all sorted, unfortunatley "Quality Ford" is an oxymoron, l wish that would change

What a stick choking, arse licking, knob jockey, scum sucking leach on the music industry
  22. If fuel gets to $2 then you will loose a lot more in the resale of your vehicle than in increased running costs. It would be cheaper to just keep it l reckon.
  23. Well done, your obviously a perfectionist
  24. Yeah l cant see it getting much better than 16 based on my driving patterns, if fuel runs upto $1.70/lt which it could easily do with the weakening $A and th sh*t going down in Iran imagine the running costs $26 per 100km anyone
  25. Good luck with the hunt Chris, from what Zap and Cro have said above you should have a few options in the current climate.
