l think there would be more than a few puckering dates in the boardrooms of Ford and Expensive Daewoo at the moment, if fuel reaches $2 a litre Falc/Commo sales will slow to a trickle at best. The wisdom of making such large inefficent cars for the forseeable future must be under question now IMO. They need to COMPETE without resorting to patriotisim because after a time if you burn people enough, the quality of the car has to be competitive or people look elsewhere. just my 2c
