    Buying Land

Land can be a risky investment long term as you cannot claim any of the holding costs as it is not revenue producing. Best bet is to find a really shagged out house on a god block so you can negatively gear, even if the rent is minimal it is at least income producing and all costs and interest are claimable. Cheers Mondie
  2. Its only noticeably louder under power, cruising l think the noise level difference is negligible if any different at all. l find the TT much more responsive than the XR6T due to the top mount IC and shorter piping, it was even more lively once the bung was gone, l think its in there to hold back the responsiveness and spool up?
  3. that's right, it is not road registered nor ADR compliant. If the guy can afford to drop 920k on a car good on him, tall poppy syndrome is alive and well l see.
  4. Good on you Grudgee, its certainly worth doing as you have found. Maybe the F6X gets 270kw by the removal of this bung
  5. Here's some pics of when we did mine, should be all you need, its a simple job.
  6. Dags, You are a man of taste, your interest in Toranas is evidence of that. So what about pumping 60k into a nice M3? Now there s a seriously nice car with some quality thrown in Do it mate !!
  7. Nice looking car., do you have any side profile pics? Whats the grunt like? Cheers Mondie
  8. As a potential purchaser, l find the exterior pretty uninspiring, looks like Ford have played it safe here. In 18 months it is going to look dated, l hope l am wrong on this when l see the cars in the flesh but at the moment Seems like some impressive technology has gone into the engine and new gearbox. Not too fussed on the ICC, looks cheap and tacky, could just be the colours in the photos. Zap, l agree there are a few ommissions that l would expect these days as you have listed, l guess time will tell Cheers Mondie
  9. l made the mistake of getting a Samsung A801, what a crap phone. My best effort killed the battery in 3 hours, typically it struggles to get through a day without charging. Thankfully our phone pimp is taking them back and swapping us at no cost in Sony Ericsson K850i's.
  10. That is a crap effort, stripes for farks sake The wheels are a step backwards from those on the TTG, the whole thing is just a mess. l think the TTG is brilliant value at a street price of around $67k on the road with 7 seats, it will not be long until the FPV effort will be had for 75k on road. Cheers Mondie
  11. Scotty, Good thinking l reckon, rates going up means more people cannot afford to buy so rents go up. Not a bad time at all to enter the IP market. Cheers Mondie
  12. Wow Shady XR, where di you find this pic, do you know anything about it? The NSW Police force had a lot of XU-1's in the early 70's including many of the 73 Bathurst specials, but there are very few pics around, let alone ones of that quality Cheers Mondie
  13. Baz, In Vic you should be able to get a 7 seat TT Ghia on the road for $66k, that's in Vic. A demo would be closer to 60k Cheers Mondie
  14. Sure mate, that would be great. Drop me a line when you are next down my way. Cheers
  15. Good stuff Peter, l still remember how great is felt the day l collected the car new from New Oak Ford, she was one of the first on the road and a real head turner for the first few months Cheers Mondie
  16. Hi Peter, Well done mate, great to see my old T is still oing strong and is in good hands. She has served you well now, it must be more than 4 years? l am considering getting myself into an F6 sometime next year and doing a few mild mods, the bug has bitten again Cheers Simon
  17. Sounds like a nice upgrade Goose, don't forget the pics !!!
  18. nice car Laner, got any more pics especially of the front and interior?
  19. l dont think you could go wrong with them, they have been around for a long time even supplying HDT in the 80's. They have a lot of experience and l have found them excellent to deal with in the past Cheers
  20. Congratulations Orrie. l can assure you the de-bung makes a massive difference to the throttle response, it alone is a great mod that does not harm warranty, except on the exhaust. l will be watchng with interest how your TT responds to mods, l have been resisting the temptation for a while now! Cheers Mondie
  21. This is the main reason for me, the throttle response and excellent ZF auto make a great combination. They handle better than you would expect too, its nice having a large cargo area and the option of 7 seats plus all the safety systems Zap mentions. The quality of our TTG surpasses any Ford we have ever owned and there has been a few, not one niggle no matter how trivial in 15000km. Never said that for any other previous Ford, l think there was more effort put into getting the Terri right when first released as it was such a big risk for Ford to bring it to market. l love mine and will happily upgrade into an FPV version when the time comes, no other car ticks so many boxes in one neat package. Cheers Mondie
  22. l am with Zap, as a fellow TTG owner l prefer to drive it to my T3 TS50. We just got back from a 3000km roadtrip with the kids and had the rear loaded to the roof, the TT did not miss a beat and still had enough grunt to blow most cars of the road. An edit is very tempting but fixing that ZF scares the hell out of me Cheers Mondie
  23. If you are still stuck get onto www.vicfast.com.au, they are very economical and great to deal with. Best to call for a quote Cheers
  24. Yep, smart aren't they As a TT Ghia owner, l can see no reason to buy the FPV Terri in its current spec, l would expect more for the extra money. l would be scared to see how quickly the front Brembos could chew through the rotors in one of these 2100kg beasts too!
