  1. Sounds like he got half way through and now wants to flog it before it explodes.
  2. If they were truly better then why wouldn't the XRT's and FPV's have them?
  3. Probably none. 5.1 and 5.2, that's way to close to be a definitive answer. Any number of things could of changed that result on the day.
  4. Click my sig, you can have it for 33.
  5. That last bit is the best way I've seen it put.
  6. Your probably right, that must be why all drag cars run single spinners yeah?
  7. Is Danny still on his standard bottom end? That's crazy.
  8. What power is it making with 14 pound?
  9. Lol The only thing an Na can do better then a turbo is nothing.
  10. I own both. Auto Pros: Crazy fast in a straight line, Good in traffic, Gets power down a bit better. Cons: Expensive to fix if something breaks or continues to break, milkshake concern, takes allot of the "fun" out of the car. Manual Pros: Rock solid, rarely do people break them even with big power, great fun to drive. Cons: Noisy and clunky, a pain in the arse in stop start traffic. As far as driving in the wet I think the auto's more dangerous, that kick down has nearly put me into a wall/tree a few times, manual is much more predictable and you get feel it go rather then randomly down gearing and hitting you with full power like the auto can.
  11. Can't read the ad but if it has a full 3 inch exhaust it's probably safe to say it's been modified with rubbish off ebay or similar. That exhaust is no better then standard.
  12. Straight pipes and auto sounds woeful, but I've really grown to like the hot dog swap in a manual, louder all round with a nice pop/crackle on gear change and deceleration. I'd recommend it for people wanting a bit more noise, doesn't have a deep note like a full exhaust has but will definitely be heard especially up in the rev range.
  13. Clutch slip? Are you serious!?
  14. Apparently they are pretty good, but you would be better off asking the qld guys.
  15. Not all all, will probably just show less power then it actually has with the big wheels. Also your speedo might be slightly out.
  16. Have you check the heat exchanger? Could have a slow leak.
  17. As this is your first post I won't just close the thread a tell you to use the search function as this question comes up all the time. Long story short there is no definitive answer it's all personal preference, but more then likely the one you spend more money on will be better.
  18. Yeah but the cooler will be the next restriction. Try this thread instead. http://www.fordxr6tu...r-fg-xr6-turbo/
  19. Think people forget that they're run of the mill taxi's not sports cars. Does this ecoboost at least drop some weight over the I6? As long as it stays a falcon you can always retrofit an I6 if you want power, it's when the Falcon turns into a mondeo that we're in strife.
  20. Changing the cat requires tune, do injectors too. Your factors intercooler pipes might burst too with the extra boost.

Think they weigh about 100kg more then a falcon, so you might be right. But even at 1800 it's still way to heavy. Makes 270kw's on 87 too.
  22. What a waste of a perfectly good set of plates..
