Its just like that red iodine stuff you put on grazed knees n stuff and it tastes the same way denist surgery smells. but its bloody good stuff. hope we all get better soon!

Spotted gold T on Great Eastern Highway this morning at around 8.30am, had black stripes, GT wing, tripod guages and quad zorst. looked very tidy and sounded mint! think it might have been Ninka? perhaps? not sure. plain WA number plates so wasnt sure. gave the dude the thumbs up!

its all small problem but nevertheless its still a problem! have they made a nest in the car or near the car? try some of that powdered footpath and garden ant killer in and around your car. they carry that stuff back to the nest and kill all the others. (just saw it on the bunnings ad) mite be worth a try goodluck!

Spotted a black T today at the lights of Reid HWY and Malaga Drv at around 4:30pm, not too sure of plates could have been 'XR6T" or something close, possibly towing a trailer too. Only got a quick glance!

that's really dissapointing

mate sorry to hear it. that looks real nasty! my MK1 T5 did something similar at 80k, melted thrust bearing and totally rooted pressure plate, clutch and flywheel. I bought mine 2nd hand so the dude before me musta left a fair bita rubber layin around. im kinda glad it happend though coz now I know that part of my car is brand new. nothing like a clean start wif some new parts. I sware that the longer I own this thing, the newer it gets! anyways goodluck with it mate.

give it a few RPM out of gear and see where it start bouncing! good question though, im not too sure myself.

hahaha I love reading stuff like this. you two are like little kids on christmas eve! well done to both of you and I hope you enjoy the T!

jet_paul there's a few threads in the Audio section of the forum that explain this well. a couple of members are running tv, alpine dvd head units and ps2 etc onto their screens. there is a converter that you can buy to convert the RGB (screen connector) into PAL/NTSC (rca video plug). costs about $300 from memory. hava read

awesome pics! love the one of the red F6 powering outa that corner. looks tuff. rims are nice too!

sounds like you need a throttle body clean. make sure they do one at the next service. I had similar problems and my car is of similar age to yours. was fixed by a good clean. should be sweet as after that.

only reason I took the stock one out was because I put a turbosmart bov in on the piping above the turbo, just before the crossover. ive been wondering wat it would sound like with no bov though, but if you reckon it sounds sh!t then I wont bother trying now!

its an easy job, I did it a few weeks ago go to Bunnings and buy a pack of 1 inch rubber chair leg tips. they come in packs of 4 and cost about $5. pinch the spring clams holding onto the 2 hoses to the factory BOV and remove the whole lot (bov and hoses). chuck on the rubber caps and use the same spring clamps. dont forget to bung up the vacuum hose with a vacuum hose plug. EEEE ZEEEEE

I heard that's how we got the hole in the ozone layer -
Autometer Cobalt Gauges They're the only ones that match the XR dash (black face, blue numbers, red needle). And they fit right into the 2 gauge and 3 gauge pods. I imagine the mark up on these are huge so a group buy would be awes! you know you want em!

you wouldnt have a problem finding mercury silver T's here in Perth. Too many of them out this way. Anyways good luck with the wedding Steve!

Hey guys, been reading a little bit on this WA thread and thought I'd say hi. Im fairly new to the site and only had my T for a few months. Im from South Guildford. I've got a 2003 BA 5spd in mercury silver. MOKSTA on the plates, standard at the moment but the more I read stuff on here the more I find myself gettin onto netbanking and checking the bank balance. I used to drive a drive a dark red EL so obviously im loving the turbo. Anyways like I said just thort id say hi. Lookin forward to chattin n gettin advise n stuff along the way. Hava good one!

Just been reading about the laws that you guys have over east and im really suprised. We have no such power to weight or turbo/supercharged laws here in WA. Im 25 so I dont have to worry anyways. Sounds like a good idea though, too many young inexperienced drivers in high powered cars getting themselves into trouble. Im sure things will change here soon though.

If your going to do anything audio I would firstly go and see Grant from Alberts Morley. I havent come across anyone better when it comes to car audio and they've looked after me well and nearly everyone I know that's had audio work done. I know MB Quartz have a 5x7 range and they'd be definately worth looking at. They're a little bit more than what you wanna pay but as anyone will tell you its well worth it. In the end you get what you pay for. Save up your money and get something a little higher than your price range. You wont be disappointed. You've got a nice car obviously, dont scrooge on anything for it! But definately go to Alberts Morley, he'll be happy to sit down and go through any combination of speakers or amps that you want..! Good luck!

could be anything mate. my power used to plateau at around 4500rpm. it stopped doing it when I put the new clutch in. turns out it was just slipping. pulls hard now right through. higher boost and power could be causing some slipping but like I said it could be a number of things..?!?!? not much help am I!
-
I actually like the off-centre look! makes it stand out a little more.. but that's just me! good luck!

good luck with the run Dan. I hope you beat him, nothing worse than losing to a holden....
