Hi guys, I'll be out there today. I got Citric Acid Ba number plates HU11LK so come up and have a chat. Took my car on december 6 when it was 27 degrees at 6pm and 94% humidity and I was so gutted that I only did 13.1 at 112mph. 2.2 60ft was my best, no wheel spin, 4 speed auto 2800 stall converter!! 307.9 rwkw tuned at Elite, was hoping for mid 12's. I was at Elite yesterday and Paul told me $995 for a full custom tune including gearbox tune and he knows I already have a flash tuner box????? Who is BPS at Cleveland?

Hi cordiaturbz1. Im getting my box back from Gilroy's on wednesday or thursday. He is putting custom C1 clutch packs in (7 instead of standard 5) which he says will strengthen 3rd and 4th heaps. He is also puttting in the V8 AU planetry gears and changing some other main shaft??? I have a 2800rpm stall converter which he sent to brisbane to get the shaft replaced with a 'white metal' one?? and also changing the standard brass bush with a steel one. All up it is costing me $1655 drive in drive out, but like I said most of my box was in good nick. He has offered to pull the box out in 6 months and pull it apart to check how things are looking at his cost because this is the first time he is doing the custom mod to the C1 clutch pack. I dont do many Kms in my car so it will be more like a year I think to get up the k's. Will let you know how it goes when I get it back, or if your near Redbank Plains I can take you for a spin. Hi cordiaturbz1. I did not get a quote from Bob Grants, elite told me they are good but expensive. Quote from Gilroy's was $2,200 for a complete rebuild. As it turns out my box is still good apart from the C1 clutch pack being burnt again (3 time in 2000kms no 3rd and 4th gear!!!!) Give Peter from Gilroys a call he is a top bloke. I am getting the C1 clutch beefed up and he does some other goodies that should be good for ages on 320rwkw which is what I have.

Hi mate. Elite recomended BOB GRANT and GILROY auto's. They said Bob Grant is really good but he is expensive and that Gilroys is good to. Gilroys is where I took my car but he is in Toowoomba. Hope this helps. Steve

Hi mate, not sure on fitment of the gauge but I do know that the standard T's have a trans cooler built onto the side of the radiator. Apparently they are not much chop cause they can leak coolant into the trans fluid!!!

Hi HULK_XR6t. I dropped my car off yesterday at the auto shop. Gave him your number and he is going to call you before he calls _______. Hope they front up and pay part of the bill or I WILL be posting there shops name on here! Guys from Brisbane I went to GILROYS AUTO'S at Toowoomba. He quoted me $2200 for a complete rebuild to standard. I am getting him to put in the AU V8 planetries and some other goodies as per a few threads I have read. Will let you know how much the total bill is when the job is done and exactly what was done. His name is Peter Gilroy and he was recommended to me by Paul at ELITE. He is right into drag racing and seems to be really switched on with the BTR 4 speed. Will keep you posted.

I bought HULKS car off him a few weeks ago. The gearbox had been rebuilt 1 week earlier and about 3 or 4 months before that!!! I drove it from Sydney back to Brisbane (900km) and I've done about 700km's up here on weekends and its shat itself again!!!! Lost 3rd and 4th gears!! I was on the highway with the misus and 2 kids in the back going 80km/h while in cruise control and was picking up to 100km/h and it just let go!!! I am waiting for the shop where HULK had the box done to call me and see if they will cover my costs to repair/rebuild the box, if not I will post the name on here. (Mods let me know if this is breaking any rules ) I wont send it back to them as I cant see them getting it right the 3rd time. Anyway I phoned ELITE up here in Brissy and they recommended BOB GRANT in Coorparoo and GILROY'S in Toowoomba as reputable auto shops. I phoned Precise Automatics as well and he seemed like he knew what he was talking about but I might steer clear of him ($4900!!!) Let you know how it goes with the shop!

OK I got the disks off this morning and the cv shafts/knuckle out of the diff centre. Now I cant get the knuckle off the cv shaft. Do I have to take the hub off first?? Looks like the hub and knuckle should come off the shaft as a unit???? I looked at the manual and it dosent show the removal of the hub?? PLEASE someone help. Steve

Hi guys. I broke the right hand inner CV at willowbank drags last night (first run!!!) and I'm replacing them with AADi items. I cant seen to get the rotors off as the shoes from the handbrake seem to be hanging on to it. I have taken the handbrake cable off the lever? Once I get that off, how does the actual shaft come out of the centre. Hope someone can help. Im getting the CBS shafts from a supplier here in brisbane for 170 each plus GST. Cheers steve

STAY AWAY FROM WESTSIDE PANEL AND PAINT AT WEST IPSWICH!!! I took mine there for a repair through my insurance, long story but they tried to do a swifty on me but I was onto it and got my insurance onto them. They did a good job though, but just shifty!! Good luck mate
