  1. Hi mate, do you have your time slip you could put up? What was the temp and what tyres were you running? Auto/manual? Good time btw!!
  2. the first lot of payments made into bank accounts will be in tomorrow and wednesday for cheques. they are doing the first lot of payments by postcode and all the payments should be made by May 15. Hope mine comes soon!!!
  3. Hows it going mate. Steve here (citric acid) XR6t. Saw your runs, fast car!!! Saw that bloke run a flat 13 @109mph in his totally stock as a rock FG F6!!! Might be going out good friday man.
  4. I'd be keen if you started another group buy chris.
  5. Yeah mate I agree but we've been together for 4 years now and after about 12 months I asked to put our incomes together and she strongly said NO that she wants to keep our money seperate. I've tried again a few times since to no avail! She saved money for her car and me for mine. sounds weird I know but that's how it is for us!
  6. Thanks for the feedback guys. Bogan I was thinking of putting it there but that is where the plazmaman air pod that I want to get goes. Was thinking of putting it down behind the rear wheel with a thermo as I have seen in another post on here. Been looking at the plazmaman 800hp kit. My missus just got a BA series 2 typhoon, 6 speed manual. What does the standard intercooler on that flow up to efficiently? I might be able to sell her my current set up cheap. Earnie, I am more worried about the air temp and cooling capabilities of the intercooler with the tranny cooler mounted so close to the intercooler!
  7. That was the set up when I bought the car? The cooler would generate a lot of heat and the air blowing through to the intercooler must first pass through the hot tranny cooler!! sittting at the line at the drags would have to speed up heat soak???
  8. Hi mate, the box was built by Peter Gilroy in Toowoomba (QLD). The box was in good nick already besides the C1 clutch packs for 3rd gear and the stallie needed some work/mods. All up cost me 1600. Man the cooleer is right in front of the intercooler!!! Was fitted when I bought the car. Heres some pics.
  9. Hi guys, as the topic states I have a small tranny cooler that runs through the radiator as well right in front of my intercooler! I imagine it gets quite hot as I have a 2800 stallie. How much would this affect the cooling capabilities of my intercooler.??? Heat soak would be alot quicker I'd imagine. It is an early PWR intercooler. What do you all think?? cheers Steve
  10. BTR 4 speed auto best mph of 115mph vs 308rwkw. 2.17 60ft best time of 12.8 et 20" 225 street tyres, cant use 2800 stallie or wheelspin city! 28 degrees and 90 something humidity, queensland weather!!
  11. Im not into Holdens at all I just have the wheels magazine that ran an article on the 427 when they were announced. Specs are as follows: 375kw @7000rpm 640nm @5000rpm 0-60kmh: 2.6 sec 0-80: 3.7 0-100: 4.7 0-120: 6.3 0-140: 7.9 0-160: 9.9 0-400m (1/4 mile): 12.8 @ 184km/h I cant justify the price, rather buy a new F6 and throw some cash at it and flog this 427. Just my 2 cents. Steve
  12. Im with Dalts. Got my BA 4speed built by him and it feels very strong. Have done 15 or so 1\4 mile passes. Highly recommend Gilroy's. Steve HU11LK
  13. Could someone please put up a pic of a standard BA cat?? I have a stainless 3 inch system which was on the car when I bought it. Discovered it has a standard dump today but the pipe going to the cat is stainless. Need to know what a standard cat looks like so I can decide whether or not I need to upgrade. Cheers in advance Regards Steve HU11LK
  14. It was good to meet you to Richard. I may have some slicks lined up for next wednesday night so I will head out again. dont know if you saw, but I ended up getting a pb......... by .04 of a second . 12.803 with 2.176 60ft at 115mph. No wheelspin, just crawled off the line!! Call me next time your heading out now you've been bitten by the bug! ha ha Steve
  15. Hey smoke, that's a good time mate for stock. Keep us informed of your progress after your mods!!!
  16. Hi Tom, thanks for the feedback mate. I checked out ETM's dyno sheet and came to pretty much the same conclusion. Once she hits 3000rpm it puts you back nice and hard and although it does lack a little up high, I just change a little earlier and keep it in the meat of it power. Will be going to the drags again tomorrow night weather permitting!!!!! Only have some stock rims that I am gonna try and let some pressure out of and I'll play with the stallie at the line. Let you know how it goes. Regards Steve
  17. Typhoon freak, I will be heading out wednesday night also, weather permitting. Will have to catch up mate. I've sorted out my stallie and just spin the wheels big time! I have a pair of 16 inch steelies with dunlops off my XT that Im gonna let down to 20psi or something and give them a go. Will have to be better than 225/35/20's! With the price of ET's at the moment!!!! My mobile is 0411 206 780 if you wanna text me mate. Cheers Steve HU11LK
  18. Cant start a new topic. says I dont have permission!f?? Anyone going to willowbank tonight, might rain and its pretty humid but I got some slicks so if it dosnt rain I'll be heading out.
  19. What CV's do you have man??? Yours are holding up ok and mine are only a few months old and only 9 runs down the 1/4
  20. I got 12.8 @114 with a slow 2.1 60ft. When I sussed out how to stall it up properly (thanks Bogan) it just spun all of first gear. Lending some full slicks off a mate from work for the next test and tune, they are 22.5x8.5x15. See how she goes then. Steve
  21. Count me in guys!!! Do I call Paul to book???
  22. Here are a couple of dyno sheets that I got from Elite when I got my car tuned in late october. I see you guys commenting on a read out having a 'nice curve' etc. Can someone have a look at this and leave some comments. Also added my 1/4 mile timeslip. Cheers Steve
  23. Hi guys, after going out on saturday and buying an "andra approved" helmet I found this. 13 January 2009 - The helmet regulations have changed, any ANDRA licenced holder is to abide by the current ANDRA rule book at any event. At Test'n'Tunes and Street Series events we will be allowing street vehicles (I.e - non ANDRA licence holders) to still use the AS1698 standard helmet. I was checking to see the next test and tune!!! So dont go out and buy one!!!! Steve
  24. Thanks to The Bogan I finally stalled my auto up properly and spun all of first gear!!! Doh, now I need slicks! Best et of the 4 runs was a 12.84 and best terminal speed was 115mph. best 60ft was 2.05 with 20" street radials. I have attached my time slip for those that want a look. Was a good night and I met quite a few of you forum guys. Congrats to all who did a PB and thanks again to the bogan for his advice and the guys who helped me push my car in the lanes.
  25. Congrats man!!! Love your car mate its a stunna. Get some slicks and you'll get into the 11's for sure. Steve HU11LK
