Also dont use your power in 4th gear. You will shag your box for sure, it is just an overdrive. The extra C1 clutch packs strengthen the 2nd to 3rd gear change.

You can get your planetary gears cryo treated and get extra clutch packs added to the C1 pack. Your line pressures should have been increased by your tuner. Get a 2800 stall converter also now that you have the cooler. Had all this done to mine and with 308 rwkw it has not missed a beat!! Some guys get the S5 solenoid modified or removed but I havnt had this done. Took it back after 4000 kms and it is still like new except there was some brass in the filter. They replaced the brass washers under the helical gears. Because the gears are curved on the helical gears, they force down away from the planetary gears and force down against the brass washer and with heaps of torque can break the cage/case that holds these gears in. The only way to stop this is to get straight cut gears made up which will not push down against the washers, but will be very noisy!! Hope this helps in some way mate.

My quote is for giving them the rear housing only. I've also removed the flapper and arm from housing!!! Look at the difference in quotes mate, only 4 months apart and from the same company! Seems as though I should just shut up and pay the extra $135 for the same job??

Read the post mate. $165 for porting AND flapper. $165 for the actuator so $330 all up. My quote was with no actuator so add $165 to my quote and you get $465. $165 for porting and flapper compared to $300 for porting and flapper. Would you be concerned?

I got a quote from the same place today for porting $190 and larger flapper is $110. WTF!!

Hi senna, I am getting a 5 inch body cat installed tomorrow morning. Went to the exhaust shop on friday to get it fitted but there was major clearance issues. so I am getting a new front pipe made up and the cat will be right up forward just after the bend. Where is yours positioned??? CAn you post up a pic?? cheers Steve

Mate be carefull of the guy "TuffCarParts" on ebay. He is advertising 3 1/2 inch and 4 inch 100cpsi rolled stainless cats for 275 but he has none in stock!! I asked him for a 3.5 inch one and he said none in stock atm. Couple of days later after speaking to an exhaust shop I contacted him again and said I'll take a 4 inch then. Same reply, "none in stock atm"!!! I just ordered one from RAP1D. 4inch with 5 inch body 100cpsi stainless cat. Will put up some photo's when I receive it tomorrow.

Good place I've seen them mounted is at the at the back in the space behind the rear passengers tyre.

I've watched a few video's on youtube of WSID recently, and from a few different angles the track looks to me to be downhill and then at the end of the track it starts to go uphill????????? I know for sure that willowbank raceway is slightly uphill and then after the 400m it goes downhill. I just thought you guys were getting quicker times down there with similar RWKW with more mph than we do up here but put it down to less humidity and lower temps. Not trying to take anything away from you guys or start any sh*t, its just my observation. Steve
