Yeah I put a Snort plenum on recently and it works fine!!! I do agree that you get what you pay for, though the only way for the Snort plenum to become a 'proven' performer is by people using them! My car has heaps better throttle response, spools up quicker and has a stronger top end which also holds for longer and is proven on my dyno sheet. I put the snort plenum, rapid V3 cooler and rapid 5 inch cat on my car which already had a PWR cooler and it went from a 12.6 @115 to an 11.6 @121. It cant be to bad.

I did mine myself and it works perfect. Where are you at in Brissy?
-
Wow, that is an awesome 60!!! Well done guys, congrats
-
Nice work John!! I managed a 11.705 @119.66mph, my last run I used the handbrake and stalled it up to 3100 and when I launched she smoked the f*ck out of the MT's!!!! I was running 30psi which has been fine leaving the line at 2800 but I think I will let them down to 24 next time. I think I dont need to let em down as much as you guys with the 17's because being 16's, I have a higher wall. Anyway, way too many cars there. It was same temp as wednesday night when I was running 121mph but it was 68% humidity then compared to 93% tonight. I'll be there again next saturday night. Want that 11.5!! Steve

11 degrees ambient, 20 degrees track temp, 68% humidity 317rwkw and 11.6 @ 121mph

Thanks heaps guys!

Well done ELITE!!!!

Hi all. Just got back from willowbank and got 5 passes in. 1 wasnt timed for some reason and my other 4 were all in the 11's!!!! 1st: 11.96 @ 119 mph 2nd: 11.73 @ 121 3rd: Not timed 4th: 11.68 @ 121 5th: 11.81 @ 120 1.71 was my best 6oft and my worst was 1.81 with et streets. On my last 2 runs I changed into 2nd at 4500rpm, dont ask me why??? It was involuntary!! 1.7 6oft really generates some G's! This was done with my new tune from Elite that got me 317.6rwkw. Thank you goes out to Paul, Tim, Vic and Boges from Elite for the tune, and to Boges again for the pointers on how to stall up better and lower my 60 ft. And John, you were right about that 11 second bar I lent you!!! Steve

What if I get from cat back 3.5 inch and replace dump. Will that suffice? -

You hit the nail on the head Senna! 318! Thought it would go more than that with the big cat though. Would removing centre muffler and getting an aftermarket dump be worth doing to this set up? -
As title states, I have an old school 3 inch stainless APS exhaust (single) with both mufflers fitted which I have recently fitted a RAP1D 5 inch bodied 100cpsi cat to. (3 inch in/out) 100 cubes per square inch is the highest flowing cat that hasnt been 'modified' available. Still have the stock dump. What can this flow??? cheers Steve

Im heading out tomorrow night, I think Boges and Paul from Elite are also. Who else is going? Steve

Thanks guys!

Thanks turbo vixen, I feel like the dumbest sh*t in the world right now. I was up til 3.30 this morning trying to sort this out. Been on holidays since monday working on the slut, putting plenum on and sh*t. Will let you know how it goes tomorrow.
-
Thanks Mick. The one on the plenum is the map sensor right?
-
Ok that's what I thought. It will be reading vacume instead of boost right? It will be getting the same info as the map sensor! f*ck me, that will be my problem. I will tap a 3/8 fitting into the cold side pipe tomorrow and hook her up and let you know what it does. What a nightmare!!!!!!!!!
-
No Im not mate. When I got my rapid v3 setup the boost sensor on the drivers side needed a hose running over to the cold pipe before the throttle body. Now I have a plazmaman pipe from under headlight to t/b and it only has provision for a BOV. So I ran boost sensor hose to unde plenum. Was told this will be ok??
-
Na didnt get it sorted man. Got it to run but had to keep revs up til it got warm. Took it for test drive and still did the same when idled at lights. Heard a high pitched squeal after boost (when bov went off) sounded like it was near the plenum. What difference would it make if the boost sensor was on the plenum (after throttle body) instead of infront of throttle body. Was in front of throttle body before.

Help ETM or ebxmple!!

Ok finished checking wires. All good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only thing is on the smaller plug (2 wires) I used much heavier gauge wire?? This could make a difference in the signal?
