The cost cutting by ford of sound deading under the bonnet, compaired to my old BF, may be the culprit.

This is clutch related, now if you just touch,or depress clutch pedal sitting in neutral,motor running, about quarter to half inch you will hear this clicking noise, The backlash noise you describe fairly common, my BF was the same. As you say you can drive around it as I have , that's why alot more buy autos as most people cant get there head around it, personally, I think they dont know how to drive

Good to here, do you know if just the pressure plate replaced or is it a complete clutch , csc pressure plate and clutch plate?

Just a heads up on on fg rattling clutch, had 3000k service today and mentioned it, clutch works fine, but appears to be pressure plate related, Service tell me Ford have knowledge of the problem and new clutch kit on back order anyone else similar problem?

Had to read your original post, about the new tune, needing tyres soon and learning to feather the throttle, All of this, plus the memory loss, and the rantings, has painted a pretty picture in my mind of what may have occured, glad to here no one has been injured badly and I'm sure the doctor's have prescribed the correct quantity of medication good luck with the rebuild and new pics would be appreciated cheers Peter

Well I did the same thing, looked at both, VE looks tougher, dash and trim especially the seats are nowhere near as good as the FG. Having just sold my BF ute after 3 years and stepping into the FG, stick shift again, handling in the wet or dry is just a matter of throttle control, confidence inspiring, done a 1000k and am still grinning, The only thing with the SS was it was 2000 grand cheaper, and still didnt sway me

Thought single bar would be a problem, pushing forward with extension ladder strung between it and the top of tailgate, the Sports bar option, Ba Bf style like the dunnydore, told by dealer cant be done? Just trying to confirm this before I take delivery,

Just reading into the output figures power and torque up approx 10% but axle ratio down 10% which tells me that at the lights this will be no quicker than a BF
