  1. Your right there zeke.If it aint playing up and the car in general is running fine dont mess with it.As long as you dont get the dreaded stall when you least expect it. As for the diff, there is a rather long backorder list for them so persevere and get it done when there is one available. But as you say you may get one that's not much different to the one that's already in the car now. Most of the "new" diffs are ones that have been returned to the manufacturer ,reset and sent out again.
  2. What he said guy's.B30 version software should have been recieved by your dealers from yesterday onwards. This is the baby with all the good stuff on board. So if you're suffering the dreaded stall/low idle get in touch with your dealer today.
  3. OK,now I'm really pissed.Sounds like I missed a good day.Sorry I couldn't be there Peter, something came up at the last minute. Any plans for another demo day in the not to distant future?
  4. That must mean that 100% sells them the bikes then goes hunting for em.Now we know what the Phase 3 is really for.
  5. Turbotom. We're staying just around the corner from Rundle Mall so that will be handy. Cant beleive that these woman try and interfere with serious beer drinking.Worst part is that by the end of a good drinking session they all look the same.
  6. It does Trumpy, but the TSB is only released because it is a known concern on certain vehicles. It informs the dealership service advisors so that if they have a customer complaint then they already know of whats involved to fix it.It doesnt neccessarily mean that all vehicles built in that period will be faulty. It's the same old saying,"If it aint broke don't f... with it".My biggest anoyance is when the service advisors blatantly lie to the customers by saying sh*t like"Na,never had any do that before". TELL THE TRUTH!! The customers will respect you more if you dont jerk them around.
  7. Funny you say that Scootre. There was an issue with a few PCM's but it was the opposite. They suffered from what was called "Freeze"flash. When they got too cold the PCM shat itself. You had to heat them up to get them to start. The PCM as it is now is an extremely durable unit in that it can now handle quite extreme variations in temperature and conditions. The stalling problem is caused by what is called RPM Undershoot Control. What is RPM Undershoot Control I hear you ask?? Well to be quite honest,F I I K !! What I can tell you is that the fix is "Revised Canister Purge Control Calibrations. What do the Revised Calibration do?? See above answer. Unfortunately at the moment I'm coming up against the same wall as most of you guy's and information regarding the "Whats" and "Why's" is not very forthcoming. Maybe the so called "New Calibrations" dont work as well as they thought(Hence why the disc's havent been released to the dealers yet).
  8. So what happened to the person who was wearing them?? :hiwelcome:

    Clipsal 500

After many months of passing on hints and info for everyone on the forum,I'm requesting help from the South Oz bretheren.Myself and a couple of mates are heading to the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide and I was wondering if you guys could suggest any Pubs/Clubs and eateries that are worth heading to after the on track entertainment.Even if you're interested in a meet and greet feel free to PM me. :hiwelcome: FORDTECH
  10. Make sure you get the dealer to check the instrument cluster configuration with WDS.All BA's come out of the factory set as sedans as default. If they aren't configured correctly the are extremely inacurate. Also the TSB in question only applies to early build BA's (up to 14 Dec 02).All vehicles after this date are normally cluster configuration faults.
  11. It's the rear spoiler guide pin.No big deal if it has fallen out.Just make sure the wings still tight and not flopping around in its mount holes.
  12. So they're talking crap as well. There are 3 bolts that hold the heatshield in place that need to be removed then 2 bolts holding the pipe in place that has the "O" ring on the end of it.Unless they're dismantling the actual turbo, they're talking crap.
  13. He must've sneezed at the wrong time.Or maybe he swerved to avoid hitting a rabbit.
  14. The wire should be a Black with Blue trace. It's the earth feed wire for the Key illumination and is reconnected to the starter button illumination.
  15. I didn't know we were allowed to swear on here.

    Quick?

Sorry fellas but iv'e got huge admiration for him.Being a father myself I was not only impressed that he got the child restraint undone by himself, but he was able to turn daddy's puter on,log onto the internet, start his own topic and post in it.I think we're all overlooking a very "special" person here.
  17. No, it just defaults to limp home mode and stays in third gear.
  18. Peter, I dont know if alxr6t replied for 2 but I'll sure as hell be there.
  19. I can honestly say that I've never seen this on any of the ICC that I've played with. However I have seen the Hardware/Software people working on some prototype ICC units that looked exactly the same as the one's already fitted to your vehicles. When I enquired as to what they were doing (if you dont ask you'll never find out eh) I was informed that they were "Developing components for BA2".I'll have to quiz them in a couple of weeks when I'm speaking to them again.
  20. Put it this way, If your speedo doesnt work then neither does your Auto trans.Traction control is quite easy to disable but if it's fitted to the vehicle then the speedo doesnt work even if it has ABS.
  21. Half a dozen Crownies will be fine thanks.
  22. There are some trans related calibrations included on the latest calibration disc that,as far as my sources tell me,hasn't actually been sent to any dealers yet.Would be interested to know the cal number on the side of your PCM(that's assuming that the dealer in question actually wrote it on there.)If the last letter is a "C" or a "J" then it has actually been updated and my sources are wrong.
  23. .If you look at your PCM in the engine bay they should have attached a label or modified the lettering alredy on it to reflect the updated reflash. The last letter should be "B".If it has the letter "B" printed as part of the original part number then they havent done anything.
  24. There is a seperate tool for each camshaft. The inlet tool :part no- 303-452 is about $240 and the exhaust tool :part no- 303-567 is about $100. They are available through a company called SPX Australia on 95446222.I dont know whether they are an exclusive tool supplier to Ford or if they sell to the general public. If you ring them I'm sure they'll let you know.
  25. Do you ever stay home. Hows that diff holding up?? Just let me know when you need a new one.And we'll see what we can do.
