  1. We'll just say under $39k.
  2. Jetute's right,It couldnt be that easy. The engine PCM programing is the same for both sedan and utes. However the IC (instrument cluster) and the BEM (body electrics module) need to know the difference and theyv'e got F all to do with engine management.
  3. Team HgAg. My mistake.
  4. ( He bows his head and walks away after just ordering a car with Leather trim)
  5. Well guys, after much deliberation(and now the wife has full time employment) I have just ordered my new car. HgAg XR6 N/A Auto,Leather,Premium audio,LSD.(Please can I join the club Ken ). Sorry but I couldn't have a T,but if you saw my wife drive you would all understand.
  6. This is actually the correct procedure. Sorry to say Turbo6man but the way you described actually leads to premature wear of the brake lining and is the way 95% of the dealers are doing them. This is why it is such a widespread problem. It's quicker and more "cost" effective to do it the easy way.
  7. There's no such thing yet.The latest cal is B30.4 and it only contains a fix for programing RTV PCM's.
  8. Firstly,If they say they machined your rotors they're full of sh*t.You cannot machine premium rotors due to the machined grooves in the discs. Secondly,There is a new pad being tested at the moment and awaiting verification before being released but from all the signs from testing it shouldnt be much longer before they are available. They are aware of the problem and are currently working on it so keep in touch with you service dept(not that it will do you any good as they've already bullsh*tted to you once)
  9. HI HO HI HO it's off to the dealer we go.It hopefully isnt a problem but you've lost your exclusivity. Now your one of the club.
  10. That "is" the latest cal for your XR6T Auto.
  11. Have another look.It is actually an XR6 ute.
  12. Word in the automotive industry is to introduce a type of "Black Box" recorder to record certain types of info during accidents to either aid in accident investigation or further developements in future safety systems in vehicles.
  13. Actually a 3000k service is a kick the tyres, toot the horn and tighten a few bolts service. It's not a scheduled oil change service. But my advice would be is to have it changed anyway. The only thing is that it's a chargeable item. Most dealerships will only charge for the oil and filter as the car will be on a hoist anyway. Oh...by the way
  14. I had to show you all this guy's.After reading everyones posts regarding the possibility of poor workmanship, this little gem rocked into the dealership where I work so I just had to take a pic and show you all.Just when you thought your cut out was rough, this comes along.......

  21. You do have to enable it in the CAN system to be recognised but the sound from the dealer fit units comes from a small speaker in the control unit mounted on the rear parcel shelf.
  22. We took a N/A Man XR6 over to the Clipsal500 that had the calibration installed just before we left. This particular vehicle had a rough running on start up issue and an irratic idle.In the coarse of the journey the vehicle didnt play up once and also has a noticably smoother idle.Fingers crossed.

  24. Yes.Just to be sure. The software level they would have used would be B29.3. Apparently under extreme circumstances(such as yours) the disc's were issued to a select few dealers. Sorry about the late reply.Been at Clipsal watching Marcos mopping the track with the Expensive Daewoo boys.
  25. Ford will machine the rotors as part of the 100,000/3 Yr warranty service as many times as permissable. If the machining of the rotors takes them below minimum thickness within the warranty period then the rotors wil be replaced under warranty. Regards to the aftermarket rotors, well you guessed it,they do it as well.Have seen several sets of non genuine rotors doing the same thing.Dont know the brand but I do know they aren't genuine rotors. Have also lost count of how many vehicles that we've done that have already had the "permanent fix" done.
