Ford’s Mustang has been spotted in full NSW Highway Patrol trim

Ford Mustang overheats after 3 minutes of police testing 21st Mar 2016 AUSTRALIAN police officers will not be jumping into the saddle of Ford Mustangs after the famed muscle car broke down after just three minutes of being put through its paces. They were outperformed by a Volvo. NewsCorp is reporting the Mustangs were put through intensive testing at a driving academy in New South Wales, but its automatic transmission overheated after two laps or "about three minutes of driving". It then had to be taken to the Ford dealership for repairs. New South Wales police are searching for an alternative to its Expensive Daewoo and Ford highway pursuit cars, given that the major Australian manufacturers are shutting up shop. Currently NSW police use the Expensive Daewoo Late model camira SS and Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo models with upgraded brakes and must have automatic transmissions. The Mustang's failure is unlikely to have an impact on the car's popularity in Australia, with 6000 already ordered, pushing waiting lists out to 18 months. A Ford spokesman told NewsCorp the Mustang was not designed for police use, and described the test as "extreme". http://www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au/news/ford-mustang-overheats-after-3-minutes-police-test/2970835/ Also: http://www.businessinsider.com.au/the-new-ford-mustang-isnt-good-enough-for-the-nsw-police-2016-3 -

I am running 35psi in my . GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 2, 235/45R17 ...Front and Back. All 4 Tyres still look good after nearly 2 years and 23,600Km. I like them because they are "nice and quiet " on the Highway. From: https://www.beaurepaires.com.au/goodyear-eagle-f1-asymmetric-2 Customer Reviews Great tire -shame about the cracks Swapped from Pirellis to this tire and road noise virtually halved. Grip seems good . Have had 4 so far (Man date 2014) with significant side wall cracking at the junction with the wearing surface layer - looks like a systemic manufacturing defect . Other than that great tire. Also: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/goodyear-eagle-f1-asymmetric.html

Re, Slightly over revved it in first and bang low oil pressure light come on and horrid sound coming from around oil pump area.. For how long have you been bouncing it ( Engine) off the Rev-Limiter ?? The Oil-Pumps on these Cars don't like it !! Do it once to often and the Oil-Pump will let go !! *** The factory oil pump gears are made from powdered metal and fail with harsh use , this can lead to total engine failure.
