No that was Kerryn Brewer and Melinda Price (who went on to do a few celebrity races with Sam Newman.) I used to know Melinda back in those days 97-98 I think. I would still like to see any of these aforementioned WOMEN up against most of the people on this site. (In a circuit race I mean) JT

Mitch, Have you seen my ute? I have 20 x 10's XHP Blades and room to spare. Cheers, JT

Dalts, I'll have $20 saying if you use 16"stockies you can run a 20 with wheel spin all the way. JT -
I'd love to put my motor into a TD Cortina. That would be fun. JT Mate go for it it would be a great project.

Interesting subject, I went out to Willowbank last night to give my Girlfriends stock GT-P a run with a mate in his girlfriends GT-P as a bit of a laugh (and not related to the subject the similarities between the two were amazing) Anyway I brought along a mate of mine from work for a look. I drove home (about an hour) and even though accelerating hard from slow points I would not have exceeded the speed limit by more than 10 kph at ANY point on my drive even throught the 40 k roadworks. Any how I arrived at work this morning to my mate telling me how hyped he was about the night before and thrashing his Mazda Bravo all the way home and almost cleaning up a power pole. I haven't often the police around Willowbank but expect them every time. I guess sometimes certain groups feel they are being unfairly treated by the law but we are responsible for our own actions. If I decide to do donuts in the main street I need to be ready to pay for my actions. my opinion JT

I have a Blueprint ute (But the above isn't me) with 19x 9.5" Advanti Viennas with Falken FK452 275/30/19's If you look at it, the rim is actually outside the tyre. I have no problem with that. Do You? When I am due for new rear tyres I want to go wider again. But seriously Pissa of a thread I drive from the Gold Coast to Brisbane almost everty day and most days I have a little chucke at something on the road. But I can't say too much I just moved up (as my daily driver) from a Feroza to my girlfriends Astra. We just bought her a GT-P So I doesn't bother me who laughs at me when I'm in one of the other cars. Cheers, JT

So it was all you mugs I have been bidding against over the last 6 months. I picked one up off eBay about a month ago for $440 but was watching a second that went for $405 (should have bid on that one but had alredy won mine) I love it. Doesn't help me steer any better. But it looks and feels good. Cheers, JT

Test And Tune Wednesday March 26th
JTXRUTE replied to Paul@eliteauto's topic in Drag and Circuit Racing
I'll be coming out for a look, if not a run, also always good to put some faces to names so come on out all and make a night of it. Lets hope I can get off the line. JT -
It peaks at 17 between 3000-3500rpm then gently rolls back to 14 at 6000 I don't mind the system at all, everyone has a budget and with all the wooshing, whistling and carry on in the cockpit you can hardly hear the exhaust. The dump is one Paul @ Elite has made up exclusivly by a mate of his. I have been over 300 for about 12 months and as it isn't the daily driver I give it a bit when it gets driven but after all the warnings in the world WE ALL WANT MORE POWER. I'm sure the standard plenum is good for a fair whack more than low 300's. Please correct me if I am wrong and I'm sure people can give examples. I did it coz it's perdy. A very wise man and good friend of mine said to me on a very special occaision some where in the distant past as I recall "YOU PLAY, YOU PAY" Passing on words of wisdom JT

Felix, I have a very well behaved right foot. But seriously it's great. I probably keep the P2 tune in most of the time. NOT!! And If it goes BANG! then Fully sick bottom end and go for 400 Anyone want to give me the money and dare me to do it? JT Tab, No worries that's what you are here for. and here is the try and upload Dyno chart

I have just picked up the ute from Elite Automotive after getting its 120000km service and a retune. I was keen for a touch MORE power so asked Paul to see what he could do with a retune. Well the ute is no longer a daily driver so what the hey. I was plesantly suprised to see a Max Dyno figure of 359.5 rwKw. I have taken it for a few short drives and it's a bit crazy but loads of fun. All these kW's and still Stock bottom end.....Yes I need to be careful. I'll keep it on the P2 most of the time which is around 330 at the treads. For anyone who is interested my engine mods are as follows. Process West Plenum and Intercooler. 4" Dump and 2.5" redback exhaust. 42lbs injectors. Nizpro Valve springs (a must) SS Throtle body. Elite Auto custom tune. Can't thank or recomend the boys at Elite automotive enough. JT Will post Dyno chart when I get a chance.

BA, Standard bottom end 17 lbs pretty much just the Dyno day tune. run around at about 330 most of the time. It's still a blast. JT
