Howdy, Just wanted to express my deep hapiness and excitement that my old man has placed his order for an FG F6. It will be the first privately owned FG F6 in Tassie (so he's told)! Although I have a quick question; The dealer told him it would likely arrive mid to late August. Has anyone else had experience with delivery lead times on these things? Methinks that this is an optimistic lead time for an F6 - especially seeing as how far out the XR6T's lead times are.

I would like an answer to this one too. I would have thought that the 6 speed would have been faster off the line? If it's the other way around (4 speed is quicker off the line), then I don't feel anywhere near as bad owning a 4 speeder rather than a 6 speeder

Solid work from the XR8 ute. Well done! If my T got done by an XR8 ute, I reckon I would be upset too. Can't wait for the day I get to drive / ride shotgun in a BOSS. Nothing beats the back to back comparison, rather than rating a car based on what journo's think of it. Take a look at BA/BF XR8 reviews. When the thing first came out, the journo's loved it and said it had solid torque across the rev range (better than GENIII) and went like stink! As they years went by, suddenly the thing had no guts under 3,500rpm and was a dud. What's changed? Nothing. So for those who think that the BOSS is an anchor based on what other people have read or heard, get real! Go and drive one. You never know, might change your mind about the XR6T biased...but then again, probably not
