  1. Hi Rob Great read & thanks. Would you have any figures for XR8. I have TIEN with 27/22 on my XR8. On the track it felt OK but that may be because I don’t know any better. I have kept my original sways and may change the rear back, any input would be appreciated.

    Brake Upgrade

Ups, that was PBR. Rotors are cross drilled, when they wear out (or crack) will replace them with DBAs

    Brake Upgrade

Hi I picked up BF FPV set up front 4 pot Brambos & 355mm rotors & rear 1 pot PVR 328mm rotors. You can get them for around $2000 used but in good condition & I added braded hoses. Gave them a good test last week & was very happy with the set up. They are easy to fit but you can get it done as cheep as $50 per corner at any brake shop.
  4. Hi all Second full flush did the trick. Pedal has a shorter travel & at the end has very firm stopping power. Thanks for your input
  5. Hi A brake mechanic informed me that in BF’s the FPV master cylinder is bigger than in XR8. Is this true. I have replaced my XR8 brakes, front 2 pot calliper x 322 rotors & rear 1 pot calliper x 328 rotors, with FPV (BF F6) brakes, front Brambo 4 pot x 355 cross drilled rotors & rear 1 pot calliper x 328 cross drilled rotors. Brakes work fine but the paddle is bit spongy. The brake mechanic believes that it is due to the size in master cylinder. What do you think.
  6. Tanks for the reply, I have FPV replica 19†rims.
  7. Does BF Typhoon 4 spot Brembos with 355mm crossdrilled rotors front and PBR single piston rears with 328mm crossdrilled ventilated rotors fit BF XR8 with PBR front 2 piston 322 rotor & rear 1 piston 328 rotors
  8. You get adjustment tools with the kit, so you can play with it but remember when you are happy get a wheel alignment. The stopper is already shorter, it comes with the kit.
  9. You can go lower, Tein pamphlet says you can lower the car to 100mm of the ground, my is about 150mm off the ground. In the pic you can see about 30mm adjustment left.
  10. It’s been lowered 15mm a corner (at WA Suspensions), I didn’t want to change factory settings too much and the upgrade was done to remove the body roll of XR8. Took the car to Cave road down south and the handling was fantastic. The car was in WA Suspensions for month after free check and wheel alignment and all was OK underneath. At first the small slack in the steering on the straight was annoying but now I’m getting used it but would like to get rid of it.
  11. Had Tein suspension and Whiteline sway bars fitted, 30 mm front & 22mm back adjustable. Now I have a 5-10mm play in my steering when driving on a strait road. On winging road, roundabouts and cornering it’s unbelievable. Feel every bump in the road, particularly at low speeds The suspension retailer opinion is that it's not a lot I can do to fix it, suggested to replace lower inner control arm bushes with Super Pro’s Polyurethane bushes for $350 fitted. Will these bushes fix the problem (I got my doubts) and is it a right cost. Should I replace all front bushes. Is there anything else I can do to fix the play in my steering. Can the steering be adjusted.
  12. That is great info, what is the thread and size on the original ford oil switch.
