coils ?

this was classic !!

seems the coils have helped 90% of the issue .. my mechanic thinks its running to lean .. but the coils have done the trick !

so picked up the car last night .. he told me his mechanic is suggesting its the actuator I drove the car and when boosting it stutters and cuts out .. iam sure this can be something else as well ?? mate, I dont want to say the price in case I advertise it here after fixing this issue !

I hope your right and I can get away with a $150 part ! othewise I got a lemon !

Hi all, Just bought a 2002 XR6 Turbo from ebay and one of the stated issues is "Actuator Sticky (opening and closing only under boost)" Can anyone shed any light as to how I will go about fixing this and maybe the costs involved if anyone has had this issue before. PS: yes, I have done a searcg but wasnt able to confirm if same issue.

yeah I sold my BA XR6T few years ago and want to get back into another XR6T. just can't look past the FG .. was considering a F6 BF .. but seems the FG XR6T is much better bang for buck

picked up the car .. sounds sweeet, not as loud as I though it would be .. actually quite quiet under 2000rpms. did notice the tingy sound people keep referring to when describing the sound from a S/S system. I dont even know what size the exhaust is .. S/S cat back is all he told me. I didnt really plan on getting a S/S system so I didnt really research it. either way .. I am happy with the looks (dual rear tips) and sound .. not sure if it improves performance. but my wife drives the car more then me .. so she's the one who wanted the zort in the 1st place !

yeah well .. luckly the owner needed some IT work .. so I offered to get his network setup. so its not really costing me anything.

well I took the plunge .. I ended up getting the stainless steel cat back installed .. going to pick it up tomorrow morning. lucky for me .. they needed some IT work done.

mate .. id love to get a cat back .. but due to the global economic meltdown .. iam forced to pretend

Hi Guys, I've been reading some post on this forum regarding the removal of the centre muffler .. so I decided to get it done. However .. I went to 2 muffler places here in Sydney (Bankstown Mufflers and Budget Mufflers in Merrylands) and both of them said I should just get the rear muffler removed totally with strait through or resonators put in. I cant find a thread where someone removed the rear muffler for a better sound ??

my muffler shop told me to get rid of the rear muffler instead of the centre one ?? obviously he's wrong ? right ?
