well I finely got around to checking the connections again and it all seams fine. I also tried the fctory I pod connecter(without the booster). had the same issue.

Hi guys, I've just installed the ford AUX booster from ASL and found that it kint doesn't work/I cant get it to work prop. Prior to this I had the non boosted AUX cable and it appeared to work fine. The issue is that its very fussy when the ICC chooses to work or not. Some times it might give me the option to go into AUX other times not. I have taken the ICC out prior to run some cables for my dvd deck that I will be putting in. I have checked all of the cables under the ICC they all appear fine, the car starts up and I have all of the speakers working. One time I had it in AUX and it was playing of my IPOD for about 40s, I just stepped out of the car and then it went back to AM. To add to the fun I have a ford phone kit and it still works fine. After spending the entire day of around with this I have only seen the AUX screen prob 2-3 times and they wore 100% random. I'm hoping someone might know where I should start looking/ do. Thankyou.

Assuming you have a premo ICC with a colour LCD and an iPod connecter then yes. That kit only converts the Video into the RGB format. The Audio part of the kit is one of two things. One an input plug that merges two RCA into a 3.5mm jack that you can plug into your iPod connector and the second part is the line filter that goes between the deck and the 3.5mm input jack. If you do need the iPod connector then add this to the list. ASL. Just say your from FXR6T.com and he should give you a better price then on the web. Hope this helped

Cool thnx im just wondering is there wire closer to the ICC, like off one of the plugs that I can splice into? The reason is I would pref not rn a cable all the way from the handbreak if I can. Also I will presume that the diode is so I dont blow my deck? Can I go without it though?

hay just a quick question. Does anyone know where I can get the handbreak signal wire for a dvd deck? The ICC is an 07 dual CC premo

Hay urslow sorry to high jack but I thought I would do my bit for the environment and not start a new thread. Atm I’m looking getting something smiler to this done to my baby but I would prefer it to be a sticker/vinyl. I’m after the Perl Golden colour that the 40th anniversary GT's came with. I’m just wondering does anyone know someone in Brissy who would create/have something like this? Please no “its an XR6T is not a GT” hating.

I believe all the ICC are the same across the entire falcon, fpv range however you might not have all of the functionality of the deck. What I mean is that, if your running a normal XR deck (non dual climate, non colour LCD) you can drop in an FPV or late model premium deck in and you will have the CD stacker and colour LCD but the dual climate wont work straight away. You will need to get a few parts + pull a lot of things apart to get it to work. I’m not the expert on this so please don’t quote me, however this topic has come up allot so the search button may have better/quick results your after. Hope this helped

Well I took the easy way out and just gave ASL a call and orderd their Video conversion kit + The Auxiliary Audio Booster Kit. It arrived last Friday and from the looks of things everything is how it should. The reason I went with ASL was because I wanted an Australian retailer for the RGB converter, ford still wanted around $100 for the booster kit and cuz im lazy so I couldn't be f*cked sourcing parts from dif places. I delt with Mathew from ASL and he gave me a nice discount over the website price tag (because im a member here). So all up for both the kits it cost me $400 + $10 for postage. Around $100 off, so that im happy with. So now all I'm waiting on is to get my car back from the panel beaters. Also just another thing where do I get the handbreak signal from. The reason for this is I wanner keep the blue's happy. I might also through in a bypass switch

Hmm I didn’t know about this. Thnx TUF. Honestly I think I will give this thing a day or two for the report to get finalized and go from there because atm AAMI are fixing my car with me not at fault and that’s better then nothing.

Well got of the phone with fraud in regards to getting the aux booster and got quoted $120 for it and 200+ if I wanted it fitted. I think I will just get the video conversion kit+booster from ASL

Well got of the phone with the police again and aberrantly that the report has not been finalized and approved by some senior person(forgot the title). The person who took my report was a constable and put the other driver at fault but this is still pending based on the decision of this senior police officer. Atm AAMI are repairing my car so I spose that it could be worse. I will give this a couple of days to see witch way the report gets finalized Thnx for the advice and the insight

I was driving alone and so was she but we do have witnesses. The funny thing is that both of them said that she was at fault. I was going forward(down in the pic). On the left side of the road (my side) was a drive way leading to BWS and Pokes. So I was going straight down and she came across in front of me. It was rush hour so the middle and the right lane were both bumper to bumper but the left was empty. She prety much flew out ( didn’t ever creep here nose out, just drove straight out) and then stoped in my lane because the drive way is rather steep. All this happened literally a car length a head of me if not less.

Well I just got of the phone with AAMI and they said that maybe I might get something back from the car. Also I spoke to the other person insurance and they will not pay for the car and apparently are considering dropping the claim and making me at fault even after the police said that she was. Also after this I spoke to the police again and they said that the women said that it was my fault because I was not watching for cars crossing a one way three lane road from the right during rush hour. The intersection sorry my side of the road only has three lanes but in the pic I drew 4
