  1. ive been using 235/40r18 in dunlop 3000a for the last 3 years because of the price difference, have done about 70000kms without any problems the only issue is that the narrower tyre provides less grip, and the diameter is the same so it wont affect your speedo
  2. cleaning the throttle body on a lot of late model cars can also create idle problems.I would try borrowing a throttlebody off another car and trying it. On some latemodel cars ,you actually have to replace itif it has been cleaned incorrectly to fix the problem.
  3. my car also has a similar problem ive tried sparkplugs coils and oxygen sensor, although I usually get coil fault codes.my electrician suggested that I remove the solenoids for the variable cam timing and clean them.they can get gummed up and not seal propperly allowing the cam timing to wander under about 2500rpm which can cause a missfire
