  1. If you haven't already, ditch the center muffler, sounds great and only cost me $60!
  2. I've been told that stock shocks give a very bouncy ride, is this correct?
  3. Hey Scotty, Think it was 2000? When all 5/7 first got back from the dash for cash. MP's where crusing around in APC's on base...
  4. Even at the power levels you are looking at, you might want to consider a new clutch. Mal Woods Opt. 3 is lighter in pedel feel and a much stronger clutch. I agree with some of the other guys. If it feels that heavy, it's stuffed. Hey, tell the missus that you are putting in a softer clutch for her, it my even sway her into "letting" you spend the extra dosh...
  5. You would think so, but you know ford, they are big on making it so you have to buy genuine. I broke one of the flimsy P.O.S hose clamps that hold the upper air box and intake tube together, and of course it was a weird size (very thin). Went to Ford to get a replacement, and they said I would have to replace the whole hose, as the hose clamps were not sold seperatly! Pirtec sell ones that fit BTW, if anyone has the same drama.
  6. Have a VDO/Dayton GPS that runs through the ICC. Great bit of kit, easy to use and looks factory. Very happy.
  7. So it sounds like there is little in the way of cruses in the NT. I was posted there for 7 years (yes, I am an AJ) and am hopefully going to be posted back there at the end of the year. Cruses are a great way of getting to know people and subsiquently orginizing social gatherings (pi$$ ups) for people that would otherwise cruise past each other on Bagot Rd and say, "Hey, Nice Car" and that would be the end of it. Heres hopeing SCMA do the right thing and I end up back up there beginning 2008. Cheers Weapon.
  8. Mate, this may sound a bit biased, but I am not a big fan of the Unichip. They are outdated technology and too restrictive. Go an SCT/CAPA flash box, you will easly be able to fix your overboost problem and correctly Tune your car, not lie to it as the Unichip does. Gives more flexability and most of all reliability for future Mods. Cheers Matt.
  9. From an (low and angry) XHII Longreach ute to a T. The Tuning potential was the big draw card, but bugger me, I didn't realize how much (or how easly) this thing can be tuned. It's a monster!!! (Bwahahahaah...)
  10. SS Inductions make a Pod-in-a-box option called the 'Growler'. Advantages of this is you have a pod filter, in an air box shelted from engine heat, with a lager intake simular to the 'phoon/XR 8 setup. If that doesn't float your boat, go the 2'nd intake option. Get the XR8 one, because if you ask for the Typhoon one it'll cost you $$ due to the fact it has FPV on it!!! I have a SS Inductions 'Big Mouth' kit which is a bigger snorkle and a K&N Panel filter myself, and found that it does the trick, and a Edit will go a long way to more noise as the Turbo will be working harder making more Kw so on. My Edit has my T running 259 rwKw on 98 RON with standard internals, and it sounds great as the Turbo spools up and carrys on... All the best mate. Matt.
