Some of you might have heard about a build we have been doing at the workshop over the past year! Well this year has been quite an epic year for the owner of this particular BA GT!! His dream was to have a naturally aspirated boss engine making 351 rear wheel kilowatts. that's 620 horsepower at the engine. It started with the ordering of a bored and darton sleaved block and complete rotating assembley from the US. Actual capacity now up from 330 cubic inch to 358 cubic inch or up from 5.4l to 5.86l. New cylinder heads were sourced, ported and polished with new comp cams fitted. Fully assembled and dropped in. The twin blade 60 mm throttlebody was dumped in favor of the big mono blade Whipple throttlebody. A Bluepower Airbox was also fitted and the exhaust was upgraded from a single piece twin 2.5 inch exhaust with pacemaker extractors, to the DiFilipo Big Boy system. So to cut long story short after nine months. Its finally come together. It's been an absolute pleasure to produce the most powerful, yet still very driveable, Naturally aspirated Boss in the country. Final result came in at 348 rear wheel kilowatts on Shell VPower. 3 short of the dream but the wish was 330-340 everyday and that's what it is. Still, when this GT has a couple of thousand more kilometers under its belt, it should be a little bit looser and be able to pick up a few extra kw when run in a bit more. At its current power level the engine is still producing 615 horsepower, not to shabby at all. Sensational to drive? You bet!! Anyway just thought I would share this with you guys as this has been one fantastic ride.
