  1. After running a 10.98@126mph with custom made crossover pipes, we have decided to go with a Process West Race Plenum Kit!! This kit is a breeze to fit over some of the other kits on the market. We have yet to tune it yet. Prior to the race plenum kit, the car was making 382rwkw with a 50/50 tolulene mix running 16psi, and 340rwkw on pump fuel. The turbo is factory, onlt having the exhaust housing ported and an actuator fitted for boost control. After we get some time to stick it on the dyno to tune it we are hoping to see a race tune figure of around 400rwkw and hoping to run at least 10.5 at Willowbank, and a street tune making 330rwkw. All on a stock BA Mk1 Bottom end!!!! Watch this space!!!
  2. spotted sixappeal in my car on tuesday night!!!! good to finally meet ya and pity you couldnt stay longer!!!!
  3. exactly the same part numbers bf - fg across the 6 cylinder range. turbo and non turbo

    427Rwkw

congrats lee!!! sounded mental on the dyno and cant wait to hear the results from the strip if they let you run again
  6. all camshafts in the 6 cyl range were exactly the same up until bf... from bf up to the fg run the same camshaft across the 6 cyl range...
  7. im plugging my scantool into the computer but its not connecting mate I need you to back your ute up to the computer screen so that I can connect it and properly diagnose the cause of your engine light!!! I would be getting the light looked at before you post it up here mate. could be litterally a million reasons as to the cause
  8. dont worry about stalling it up at the lights on the street... it will only end up in smoke
  9. sig updated just for you worm!!!!
  10. full slicks and runners mate!! the et streets just couldnt keep up with a 3500rpm launch and 12psi off the line.. it all depends on when you get it rebuilt and how much stuff needs to be replaced. my 4 speed will die eventually by the end of the year... and the stall doesnt make a huge difference to street driving.. maybe fuel economy... you get used to it... and its your driveshafts and diff you have to worry about with a 60ft like that... the gearbox will cope!!!
  11. a 1.5 60ft is freaky when your not expecting it and a good sign youve done something right it makes for a good photo though!!!! pretty sure I got a wheel up last night
  12. thanks mate!!! and yes... I did!!!!
  13. winter is next!!! temp on my first run im guessing was around 25 degree's 1nd run was 23 degrees!! yes, and I have been sitting on the 11.0's for quite a while!!! when it is a little bit cooler I reckon I could shave a little bit off that time... all im really after is to run a 10.94 and the slips wont get laminated... photocopied and blown up then laminated!!!!
  14. ran 10.98@125mph last night at willowbank "80GES"
  15. Well it has been a long time comming!!! My first pass netting a 10.98@125mph with a 1.59 60ft!! I was over the moon as your 1st pass is generally your worst!!! I didnt get my marching orders, so I lined up for a second pass at 7:15pm, waited 2 hours to get to the start line and managed to back it up with a 10.99@125 with a 1.57 60ft!! Then I got my marching orders!! In hindsight, my 2nd pass was pretty messy (never would have noticed watching) and I could have done things alot better.... Thanks to Blueboost for giving me something to chase and it wont be long now mate! Thanks to Paul, Tim and the boys for putting together a weapon!!! Thanks to Sir Spiro for the words of wisdom
  16. spotted a while ago.... qik6's beast up at 6 boost when I went to pick up some wheels for the drags!!.... pulled up and thought " this beast looks pretty sweet" then found out who the owner was!!! nice bit of kit mate!!!!
  17. letting it rip would involve releasing the hand and foot brakes ya smart arses!!!! hahahahahaha
  18. my 4 speed auto launch: 1. traction off 2. manual shift mode 3. stall up with foot brake 4. as its about to come out of stall click 2nd gear and blip the brake pedal 5. stationary burnout to get a little bit of smoke happening 6. drive out of the skid towards the start line to dry ya tyres 7. make sure car is in first gear 8. apply the foot brake as hard as possible 9. hold the handbrake up as high as possible 10. wait for the lights to start 11. accelerator flat to the floor 12. wait for the needle to hit 3500rpm and generating around 7psi (et streets) 13psi (full slicks) 13. let it rip and hold on! if you nail the launch, you will be shifting 1st to second gear almost instantly. generally around 5250rpm. then 2nd to 3rd is at around 5300rpm. I never shift any later than 5500rpm because the torque is already taking a nose dive, no point draging it out. its all a learning experience and becomming in sync with your car, my methods wont work with every 4 speed auto. just keep on getting out to the drags to perfect it.
  19. We are sadened by the total devistation of the flood in Brisbane and surrounds. We were truely blessed not to have been flooded out as it came incredibly close, if it kept on raining, we would not have been so lucky!!!
