  1. process west is the way to go mate!!! intake temperatures when we were tuning my car did not rise above 35 degree's celcius in the intake manifold!!
  2. only good thing about the nizpro exhaust is the size and how well it flows you are forever adjusting it so it stops hitting, I have given up adjusting mine and just let it hit!
  3. congrats on the power mate!!!! cant wait to see what times your manual ute will get when compared with Dalts's ute with similar power!!!!
  4. a decent intercooler and tune should do the trick. a surge tank is not really needed if you are sensible by making sure you have more than 1/2 a tank when you nail it. I would also be budgeting for another set of injectors as well as the 42lb injectors may run out of puff
  5. Congratulations Dalts!!!

    444.4 Rwkw

congrats mate!!! is it manual or auto my car made 400.5rwkw on 16psi using the factory turbo through the 4 speed auto!!!!
  7. yes race tune finished. she made 400rwkw. 400.5@16psi I reckon alot of it comes down to the tune. if you have a sh*t tune and it is pinging, then your engine will not last too long. and of course aftermarket parts have come a long way since the early days. good parts and a decent tune, your going to make the power and run the numbers everytime.
  8. there is a way.. rip the tappet cover off and see if the valve springs have any paint on them.. if they have paint they are stock, if not you could be in luck
  9. 18 psi is alot of boost to get to 340rwkw.... I was making the same power with custom made cross over pipes and a standard intake manifold through my 4 spd auto.... though I also had the rest of the mods to be able to do it easily... 4inch exhaust, turbo mod and actuator, and a decent intercooler
  10. we could have put more boost into it to see the 375 - 380rwkw I had before on my race tune, I didnt want to push it too hard for a street tune as im driving it to heathcote in june for the drag nationals
  11. I will be there running the bogan mobile!!!
  12. ohhh man!!!! I guess I can conjer up a dyno sheet if I get a chance sometime today!
  13. wrapped up my pump fuel tune 80% completed.. she made 370rwkw on the dot running 15 psi!!! race tune still to go!!!!
  14. I didnt put the fg camshafts in as an upgrade, though they are slightly different I have been told. I have not noticed a difference at all over the ba camshafts. I would not recommend wasting your money on getting these, get a pair of atomic camshafts!! The reason I had fitted the fg camshafts was when we swapped out my nizpro valve springs for atomic valve springs, we noticed that I had a chip in the last lobe on my exhaust camshaft. and it was on the side of the lobe that hit the roller.
  15. the injectors I previously had were fine with the standard intake manifold... now with process west stage 3.4 kit + 4 inch exhaust it maxxed out my injectors at the same boost as what it was with my old set-up. I dont know why they maxed out, maybe something to do with how efficient air flow is now!!! im pretty sure the 60 pounders will be fine for the amount of boost I want to run with my factory turbo
  16. I had re- drilled factroy injectors, been in there for like 3.5 years... it sort of stunned me that they maxxed out... something to do with how good the process west plenum is... I managed to get onto a set of 60 pounders for a decent price on the friday arvo..... its not a bad line of work mate!!! it has its ups and downs like most other jobs....
  17. bigger injectors fitted!!! now for a spare moment to finish tuning!!!
  18. got a start on it on friday.. hit a wall at 360rwkw with my injectors maxed out.. so we took as much boost out of it as we could and left it at that.. have got some bigger 1's ready to go!!! so I will hopefully have a result this week!!
  19. this is something I know a bit about!!! I currently have a 4spd ba xr6t making 330 odd rwkw daily driven, 380rwkw on my drag tune which is occasionally street driven. Soon to be making 400rwkw... hopefully!!! I have had my car just over 4 years now and bought it 2nd hand with 45000km on it. it has now done 116000km my car has lived with 300+rwkw for 3.5 of those 4 years, most of them sideways racing someone. I reckon in my car's lifetime that I have probably done at least 250 passes at the drags.. the majority of the passes were 11.6 or better. currently running 10.9@126mph.. my stock gearbox lasted 6 months making 310rwkw, though it did not have a trans cooler and I was not afraid of ripping a skid here and there. im currently on gearbox number 6. A built 4 speed will last me 14 odd months before it starts making noises with my car making 330rwkw+. once it does this I stop driving it until I can afford to get it rebuilt. I have smashed 2 rhs cv's at the drags. 1 was my original std cv which went out of the blue at the drags. and my 2nd was due to launching my car with 18psi off the line. My engine has never skipped a beat, though I have never skipped an oil changed and it is always changed every 7500km or earlier. My engine still has perfect compression after 65000km making 330rwkw daily driven!! as to how long components are going to last, here are some tips to help extend their lifespan: - dont down shift your 4 speed auto (engine braking) they dont like it and doing it will kill it really fast!! - if your doing a static burnout, dont hold it too long in 2nd gear!!! - dont be doing power slides all the time!!! - keep your oil changes up with quality full synthetic oil ( engine and trans) - instal a trans cooler for your auto - dont be tight with money and mods, it might cost more to do it right!! listen to your tuner!! - try and stick to the same service station - dont drive on your max hp tune last but not least, a decent tuner will do wonders as to how long your engine and gearbox are both going to last!!!!
  20. I think it has something to do with the colour!!! look at blueboost's old beast!!!!! just have to remount my trans-cooler and when we get time it hits the rollers for the pump fuel tune!!! I wonder how far the standard turbo will take me into the 10's??
  21. thanks mate! probably not...
  22. I dont think that it is a big ask! its not going to get driven around on 400rwkw!! and my car gets driven 7 days a week as well.. I have had the purple beast of fury for 4 years now, 3.5 of them with 300rwkw+..
  23. I let it rip at 3500rpm and whatever boost I want... 13 is optimum boost without breaking anything...
