Yeah, the dealer kept it overnight and sifted through and found all the peices.

Noticing oil around the filler cap, Dad decided to give the oil filler cap a tweak. Check the photo out to see what came out. :o Took it to the dealer who fortunatley was able to recover all the peices of plastic that fell into the top end. Dealer replaced the oil cap which has the recommended 15/30 printed on it. This isnt right guys is it? (isnt it 15/40)!!! We came to the conclusion that it may have been expansion/failure from heat, overtightening and a crappy cap which caused problem. I recommend all guys with new cars check the cap is not over tight and smear some oil around the seal.

I cant wait to see the finished product. Can anyone help me out with the procedure to remove the dash plate where the guage will go?

Thanks heaps SilverHawk, I really tried to give the photos an edge. The camera helps alot and I used a tripod. Its good being able to take 700 shots and pick 2 or three that really bring out the cars character. Now I await the night to have another shoot.

Hi everyone, Picked up the new bird after 3.5 months of waiting. Well ok its my mums car but I wish it was mine. Dad (plumb_bob) asked me to write this up. In a week we have 1,400km on the clock. We began our run in from day one with medium to hard acceleration from around 60 to 120 in third gear and varied revs and speed a much as possible. First night running-in we had a bit of a scare with the car suddenly jumping into limp mode after overboost. Shut motor down, restart and everything ok. On one run we were only to be away for 15 mins to fill up, this some how turned into 2.5 hour session, dad could not turn the bird around, awesome! Mum was not happy when we got home (its her car!!!!). The Ford guys have done a fantastic job building this car. Quality of finish is first class. Good on you all the Ford workers for such a great performance vehicle. Footwell lights are in....$1.18 from Repco, can any of you beat that price for two bulbs? Option list: SSS, premium sound, leather, boot liner, window tint, xr scuffs, spare alloy. We only had a limited test drive from the dealer but thanks to the xr6turbo.com forum we have been able to buy the car with confidence. Running it on BP PULP 95, seems ok, can tell the car is loosening up day by day. We will try to get along to most cruise days, now that we don't have to chase after all you guys in the Landcrusier. The car is made with as little surfaces as possible to help it run 'smoothly' in the game. If you raise the surface count youll get a much better looking car but really crappy game play because you computer will be lagging. :D

yep that's ricey. AP racing just gave the ricers some new ideas for "modding" their cars. They need some new ideas because the 'VERY' large wing is too common now.

I experienced a GT up close and personal a while back. The fella knew we were watching so he had to give it some. I cant remeber what it was like becuase I was so psyched and I forgot. But you cant beat the ol V8 for accoustic goodness.

Hi everyone Below are some dyno runs I filmed on sunday at croydon motorsport. There is RJS's turbo(209.5rwkw), the APS stage II turbo (trying to fly off the dyno with 266rwkw literally) and a Citric acid GT(237rwkw). 1. APS XR6 Turbo 6.2MB 2. GT on the Dyno 5.6MB 3. RJS on the Dyno 3.4MB after all the blood sweat and tears they are finally working. They will probably get alot of traffic so my server may not be up to speed. Ill PM CJF077 to see if he can host them for better access for everyone. You will need a ZIP extractor to get the AVI files. They range from 3 to 6 meg. Hi, I was wishing to make a computer 3d model of a BA xrt and to do that (and make it look good) I need 'blueprints' of the car, they just give a general outline of the shape and contours of the car. Ill post an equivalent blueprint of a mclaren just incase you dont know what I'm talking about. They dont have to have dimensions of the car on them. If any of you guys have access to any blueprints, could you email them to me or tell me where to get them. Thanks
