Sorry guys a storm fried my computer so I cant accept more team members for a while(DAMN). I think we should use the team as a "goodwill" bank. Each time you have some money lying around deposit it into the teams account. Then we SHALL BE RICH, im just going to deposit all of my money in there(ill keep a bit for races). Each month or two we shall all vote on who sould recieve the money for a new ride. And the money going towards the team will help us take on (and hopefully beat) other teams. Fella's, just wondering what you thought of the Ford stand at the Sydney Motor Show. Personally I thought there could have been a bit more effort put into it, considering there was only cars that you can see at any normal Ford dealership (apart from the Territory, details of which have been known for ages). I regret to say that the number of people at the Expensive Daewoo stand while I was their far outweighed the number at Ford's. In my opinion the number of people that were gawking at the all-wheel drive Monaro (the area was packed) should be an indication to Ford that people like seeing something different, even if that something has no intension of going into production at the end of the day. At least this shows that the company is not standing still and that they are probing to see what the public is interested in. From this, am I right to come to the conclusion that Ford is not taking full advantage of the superior product it currenly has? It is pretty obvious that Ford has the upper hand in the engine department over Expensive Daewoo at the moment, so what is being done to exploit this advantage before Expensive Daewoo introduce thier new V6? I still remember the hype when the Gen 3 was released, so shouldn't Ford be doing the same now? I know, just like everyone else on here, that Ford have a great car in the BA, and I would hate to think they are loosing sales out to Holden, or anyone else, because they are unable to market their product in an effective way. It is silly to think (but I'm sure it happens) that people who do not know a great deal about cars buy a certain brand simply because it is marketed to them in a more effective way. I think this shows how important it is to keep people interested in your product (the Monaro proves this), so maybe Ford (or FPV) should have knocked up a FPV T6 or a GTHO, which could have drawn back the crowds. Anyway the above is just my opinion, so what do you guys think?

I would like to ask VG and Plonky what motivates them to stay in the Police Force? Dealing with the scum of society on a daily basis, not getting any recognition for the hard work you put in day in, day out, and knowing that people such as the guy VG first mentioned have a total lack of respect for the law, or anything else for that matter, must take it's toll. How do you guy's do it?

Regarding YCL's comments about how the Yanks have little or no knowledge of other countries, did anyone see that episode of CNNNN where one of the "reporters" went over to the states, where he walked the streets claiming he was the Prime Minister of Australia? It was surprising how many people thought that this was for real, and started thanking him for all of his support in the war against terror. Hell, they even wanted photos and signatures. I find it amazing that these people are so uninformed.

Talking about test drives, the salesman that came with us when driving the XR6T was directing us where to go at all times and ordered us to do a U-turn at a round-about and go back to the dealership ( which was no more than 2-3 kays away ) We also drove an XR6, which looked like it had be taken for a bit of off road driving in the mud, and the interior looked like someone had emptied a bucket of dirt in it. These salesman are supposedly trying to sell a performance car, although they only let you test drive it on roads where your max speed is 60kph, not to mention their total lack of product knowledge. I serioulsy doubt whether our family would have bought the T if it wasn't for this forum, simply because on our test drive we had no idea what the T is capable of. I wonder how many more car sales could be made if all salesman were like the ones first mentioned in Dallas 's post Salesman should be able to do better than this!

(I think its important to have the right oil specs printed on it). Spare parts ordered another one.... AND charged us for it (the excuse was "we dont know about warranty") and it was the same damn cap, JEEZ whats next

Strolling around the motor show we picked up this bar mat, I think it will add a nice touch to a nautical themed bar It made it even better when I saw only HgAg on the barmats, oh well they picked the right colour :D Umm Ken stop looking at the bottles

Ive been thinking for some crusing rules: 1. If there is a large gap in the convoy and there is a turn ahead, the last car of the front group shold wait behind and direct the cars through the turn. 2. People without CBs should be told to stay in the middle of the convoy or stay in visual contact with a car that has a CB. 3. Have a person with a CB stationed at the rear of the pack. These are some suggestions, il try and think of some more.
