Yeah mate set the actuator to the required 2mm preload. Thank god I had someone who works with turbos helping me .. (doing it for me)

Oh and my Intercooler came, But I have no instructions... :(

Hey guys quick update. I installed the turbo up, what a *beep* of a job I tell ya.. Won't be doing that again. Also going to pike in and get Monstatorque to install the Valve springs... lol Did anyone run into the aircon line blocking their turboside intakes path? do I need to bend anything to get it to fit in there? I have the 4inch joiner already but it seems all squished up against some sort of sensor attached to my aircon gasline. Will post pics up tomorrow but for now Im stuffed. Turbo looks nice and big and nothing seems to be leaking which is a bonus.. Using the standard oil line just for now But I have an Earls oil line in the post.

Probably Cooler pipe is loose, as said above you may have a leak somewhere. Check from the throttle body to the intercooler and back to the turbo for loose clamps split pipes/blown off etc.

I found my BF to have alot more of a kick down stock vs stock in drive but through gears the FG mid range stomps the BFs.

Still coming. But that's okay I just needed the actuator for now. I just need the cooler by the weekend, it left NSW on the 14th so surely mid-weekish. Fuel pump is coming direct so It should be here today or tomorrow (not that I really need it)

Actuator arrived! Chris came through for me and overnight shipped it. Looks like my turbo and valve springs will go on today . My best mate will be fitting it all up for me (he works on trucks for a living) as I'm confident enough to do bolt on jobs but when I'm required to pull off the turbo or the head that's where I start looking at someone else to do it lol. Ill be suppling the drinks the food and the moral support! Pics to come!

100% in on the genuine fluid. How often is it recommended to replace the oil? I use to have the problem in my BF when using Transmax where in cruise control the revs would dance about 200rpm.. man it would give me the sh*ts.. I thought it was just my car. Would love to see another mantainence day organized at that hoist/garage place

Fingers Crossed.. I have the dimensions and weight of the package in question, (13kg) dimensions were 80cmx50cmx20cm or something so If it's not my missing items I dunno what the hell it is! Thanks Rednose, I can breathe easy knowing they should be capable of that level.

Yeah I was in contact with him ended up paying 1130 for the kit with black pipes and 750 for the intake kit as the intake is like 1065 on the site.. didnt see the special on ebay unti it was too late aha

Yeah I did mate couldn't say no at that price as I had been quoted some pretty far out amounts lol I bought them seperate so I ended up paying a little more than the 1799 its priced at on ebay.

Okay guys so I wasn't going to post untill I had everything with me but after a few notorious delays which have been sorted I simply can't wait any longer to make a topic! So fast forward 6 years.. I'm a little older/wiser/fatter... and I've finally come around to getting a new car after I got rid of my BF 3 years ago. Yep it had to be another turbo.. couldn't help myself! I even promised the missus to leave it alone this time. Yep it took me 3 months to crack.. so heres my little pile of goodies I have to get onto the car: Rapidsystems V2 Intercooler/intake kit. Rapid HD springs Plazmaman Surge tank W/ bosch 044 Walbro 800hp intake pump (if necessary) KPM Bosch 1000cc injectors Ported rear housing with 12 psi turbosmart actuator 4 inch turbo back xforce s/s system and... a GTX 3582r (I blame you all for this one) Car will be getting tuned on the 26th of August by Monstatorque. Rob and Darren are fantastic blokes to deal with so I'd be silly not to. Really hoping to achieve 400rwkw as its been a long term goal of mine right from the beginning, on 98 of course.. the E85 tune will come once the funds pick up again! Plenty of pics to come in the next couple of weekends as I start to put all these shiny things together. Wish me luck guys!
