  5. haha I went from a 1979 Ford Escort to my BA MKII XR6T Quite a leap I must say Go the Xr6 TURBOS and the escorts I'm only 21 and just finished uni though...
  6. haha you guys might end up being right...but I'm too scared of breaking something by using the 10psi tune lol...My cars completely stock except for the edit and a big mouth air-filter.. a little worried about the 10psi tune and something breaking
  7. thanks guys....my 10psi tune produced about 245Kw at the wheels Does anyone know if the stock clutch will be alright with my 8psi tune at 225KW at the wheels?
  8. Hey guys, just got a custom edit from Elite Auto in Bris. I have to say Paul and the guys down there where great. I was a little apprehensive about getting it don't at first but now I can't get the smail off my face. I got a custom 8psi and 10psi tune. Just a question: Will the stock clutch handle the 225KW at the wheels produced by the 8psi tune? Im not really going to run the 10psi tune that often. Cheers
  9. I'm finally booked in to get a custom edit !! The only thing is im not sure what boost I should run with it. I can't decide between getting an 8psi and 10psi tune or a 7psi and 9psi tune. What is the known maximum amount of boost the internals on a stock T can safely run? Can any of you guys shed some light on the subject?

Hey guys Can't half tell I'm a newbe I've been looking into the CAPA flash tuner on previous discussions in this board and it seems some ppl have been having problems with the generic tunes supplied by capa. I am thinking about getting an edit done but want a custom tune done at 8psi coz it seems safer. Can the stock engine handle this amount of boost without strenthening? What boost does a stock XR6T tune run? From those that have done a custom edit and flash tuner how much does the process approximately cost and take? Im from Ipswich about 30kms outside of brissy in QLD. Anyone know of a good tuner around here? I've got a 2005 BA MKII 6 speed manual and have only have a modified high flow cat back exhaust system. Cheers guys!

  13. Hey guys, I just got my 2005 BA MKII XR6T last fridayand this is my first post . Its a 6 speed manual and still has about 2 years warrenty. I am looking to put an exhaust system on it but need some advise. I was thinking about a a 3 inch system with the works including dump pipe ect, but would like to what effects this would have on my engine and car overall and what exacty a dump pipe ect does. My car has no other mods and all the only mod I want to do is the exhaust system but wanted advise if this system could stress the engine and void warrenty. Cheers!
