  1. well you could do the CAI and cold side intercooler to throttle body with that piping....
  2. So what was the thread on the F6 intercooler sensor as I need to block it off? what ever pictures where on this thread are now gone can anyone help? Thanks
  3. If you don't mind me asking what was the total cost of the mods? because I am thinking about going to RDP or Elite for my mods soon.....
  4. what about this kit? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Aluminum-TURBO-Inte...6QQcmdZViewItem any comments?
  5. Where did you source the materials for the cold side intercooler piping to the throttle body? and it cost only $200 for that pipe and the CAI? Thanks
  6. Thanks for the pic mate and thanks to everyone who replied, ill have to change it over next weekend. Cheers
  7. I would also like to know if this is possible and how much ford charge to do it.......
  8. really? that would be heaps better because at the moment I have had to temporarly mount the gauge in a different position becasue the tube wasn't long enough. Could you post a pic of where the tube can connect to the BOV. Cheers.
  9. I put the gauge in what I was told is the standard typhoon boost gauge hole on the pipe side in between the two (see pic below)
  10. Hello, I just installed an F6 cooler into my XR6t and fitted a speco manual boost gauge, I took the car for a quick spin and boost seem to hit 11/12psi under full accleration (isn't the standard pressure 6psi??). would fitting an F6 cooler make the boost climb this high? or is it possible that I haven't fitted the boost gauge properly? I installed the boost gauge into the F6 cooler hole and ran the tubing through the firewall gromet. any input welcome. Cheers.
  11. Can anyone else comment on LPG and the effect on the XR6 turbo's valve seats? I called up elite automotive and they had concerns about the longevity of the engine after an LPG conversion. Is there anything that can be done to the engine internals and/or valve seats to prevent damage?
  12. I had a similar issue, on cold start up the car would idle extremely rough and when I accelerated for the first time the car would loose all power and revs would go down to about 500rpm as if it was going to stall and then behave perfectly. As the car is under warranty I took it to ford who said they "cleaned" the throttle body when I got home I inspected it myself and it was still pretty dirty behind the butterfly (lazy buggers) anyway I cleaned it again and the issue went away. On the topic of fuels I first used Caltex premium the car felt very sluggish and I got about 330km to a full tank swapped to BP ultimate and now the car has a lot more response and I get around 420kms off a tank (but maybe my initial turbo excitement wore off )
