  6. As far as I'm aware mate they are both t4 flanged turbos.
  7. oh mutha fukker its on like donkey kong http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index.php/fernandez-plans-revealed-for-wtac-2011/ yeah slow progress til now. settled in to my job so things will be progressing along rather rapidly. organising the materials for the undertray next swing off. the new exhaust will be fabbed up and back looking at brake options. basicly looking back at regs in regards to how muuch interior I can remove aswell as what aero I can run in regards to class rules. recently I have been really just settling into the new job, playing with allignment and tyres, and getting the existing issues I had with the car settled. money had been tight over christmas so basicly only had the time to fab up the new battery box and remount it. fix the cai and start talking tyres with my brother (toyo). hoping to have the hard cover finalised and ordered in the next fortnight aswell as have my brake choice done to be ordered the following fortnight. is interesting jose's choice of car to race...
  8. your mad, id take the evo 10 over a 9 and unless we are talkin gtr, id take the 33 over the 32s asthmatic 2l 6 cyl every time (though if we are talkin gtr id defo go the 32)
  9. yes they do have a lh side and a rh side, though I was fairly sure the rh was the higher of the two to counter the weight of the driver.
  10. Although I agree. My house to tuner = 400km. Reverting back to standard is near impossible as I have none of the factory parts left (everything has been modified bar the bottom end engine wise) but I do get what your sayin. May just get ford in mackay to flash it then flat bed it from there to Dave = like 10k's
  11. Headsex I was close to havin headsex with you when you said you can't lock them. Best news I've heard. Will also take inboard wat you said about the factory tune though may be difficult as I'll need to get the car from town a to town b where tuner is and it won't even thing about running on a stock tune with current mods.
  12. hey guys. just have a quick question. im currently running a vcm tune on my ute through a workshop im no longer associated with. the workshop im looking to go to is an edit tuner so im wondering what the situation is in relation to tuning. im not sure weather the ecu is locked and im not really keen to even ask them. it is possible to just go from vcm to edit presuming the ecu is not locked? I figure if the ecu IS locked then ill deal with that when I come to it and send it to hp tuners to have it unlocked. so yeah people in the know, is it as simple as switching from one to the other providing that the ecu is not locked? cheers A
  13. sick erko, think a set of ce28n's in black all time attacked up with a bionic stripe instead of red would look sick think below with a bionic blue stripe
  14. alrighty then... so yesterday purchased a 2m x 1.5m sheet of 2mm ally sheet to start the construction of the undertray. the new undertray will stretch back from the front bar to the rear of the engine cross member (pics to follow). now construction of the undertray will start after the 17th of this month as that is when I finish up with my current employer and will have plenty of time leading up to the commencement of my new job. also on the go is a completely new turbo configuration from manifold to exhaust. first will be a custom made stainless steam pipe manifold supporting the factory 35r turbo wearing a 1.06 tial stainless vband exhaust housing. the main reason im sticking with the 35r and changing the housing is firstly for response (and also keeping the powerband in the meaty part of the rpm) and secondly im looking to in the future upgrade to the gtx 35r cartridge which will utilise the same comp and exhaust housings and capable of supporting over 400rwkw consistantly on pump fuel. the reason im goin to the tial stainless housing is not just because they look absolute sex but because of the ease of maintainance and fitting. from the turbo back will be a 3"-4" stainless stepper followed by a 4" turbo back exhaust. the gate will remain the current tial 44mm that is fitted, only plumbed in using a stainless flexpipe as opposed to the current screamer arrangement. fabrication of this will commence in the first part of january and once complete the the ute will go in for a complete retune. its funny how this new job and increased spare time has renewed my enthusiasm for this project. I have a whole new perspective for this build and think that with the new level of commitment to developing this ute, should make it really something quite unique. future plans are to fit her up with some new shoes (trying to find some nice wheels in the right offsets to fit 9.5f and 10.5 r rims to her), a hard cover, new airbox, new oil cooler (come on kev from process west, make it happen), a new right hand headlight with the guts removed and die grinded out into a nice ram air for the new airbox, some new brakes (looking ideally for a set of f&r brembos off a pursuit ute (6 piston fronts and the big rears aswell) and some new seats to replace the current spongy unlaterally supportive stock seats that are in there. that is all for now and look forward to updating this thread with some pics from the initial undertray design and fitting cheers adam
