Thanks guys. Xsicute, what exhaust are you running? *Beep*, I have an AP racing twin plate clutch out if a tornado which should do the job for me. I am going to do the surge tank down the track too. not too sure about the wastewater flipper mod though yet. I have a 12 lb actuator to fit but if I can't do it while the turbo is in the car, I may as well do the flapper mod at the same time

I understand that this kit in theory has the potential to support 800 HP but obviously not in its own. How easily will it make 350Rwkw? I'm just after info on how easy it makes the power and what has worked for others who have used the kit. It seems like not too many here have used it though.
-
Thanks for the offer mate. I was going to fit the same PW kit as you are talking about. Stage 2.3 I think? This one came up though so I thought why not get it and save some $$.
-
Yeah that's the one mate. The bloke was happy to negotiate when I waved a roll of $50s under his nose, so I got it for a bit less than the advertised price too.

Hey guys. Just picked up a second hand plazmaman 800 HP kit with the under battery pipe and pod filter and cold side piping and wanted to see if anyone else was running the same set up. What kind if power is being made with these kits and which mods have you done to get to that figure? I am just doing the kit, high flow cat, injectors and fuel pump with a tune first up, but eventually would like to get 350RWKW. Is this kit up to it?

Just a heads up for the townsville guys new to these cars. One of the best XR6T tuners in the counrty lives just a couple of hours down the road here in Mackay.

Jeezz. Why not go the whole hog, be realy generous and give everyone unlimited points. Sure to be a vote winner for the unwary sheep among us. That way there will always be the max number of drivers on the road to collect revenue from. They aren't contributing while being suspended after all!

Sorry mate. I thought we were talking about turbos, as that is what the OP owns. My bad.
-
Are you sure? All Ts would have had a 6SP for at least two years when the update came out. Its hardly a ditinguishing feature in this case
-
I have seen those accents on your colour. It did look crap I am sorry to say! Not trying to be a smart ass but why do you think yours is the update then? It has stuff fitted that was available throughout the BA/BF build time, not just the BFII update. Was this extra gear all provided as standard, or as options? Are you under this impression because the salesman said so, or is there actually something in your paperwork ( owners manual) that indicates this? If yours is the update then does that mean that they made a second update with the accents and darker coloured wheels a little later on? As I said, not trying to be smart but inquiring minds want to know!

Doesn't sound like it mate, but if its going to make your insurance cheaper list it as one. If anyone ever queries it claim you thought it was.

I'm not sure if the clock location seals it as cars made before the update did have a clock in the centre where the FPVs have their gauge pod. Same goes for the dual zone CC. This was fitted to cars with the Premo sound system prior to the Update. Mine is a 05/07 build date with 17s, and it has the clock in the centre where the FPVs have the gauges. It has all of the premo stuff on it including leather and sunroof but this is because it was orderd that way. The updates weren't being made until much later in '07. Pretty sure the update BF got the 18s but with a darker grey color as well as dark accents on the body kit? These are the main external cosmetic differences I believe.

Mate, haven't you just spent sh*tload on mods for it?
-
First thing I would do prior to sh*tting in my bosses fish tank or buying sh*t would be to drive to the lotto office, pick up the cheque and bank it. Once it cleared I would sh*t in my bosses fish tank, buy an outrageosly expensive supercar, start a collection of rare and desirable bikes both road and off road, and tour the world, etc, etc!

In that case I would buy the Toyo T1Rs in a heart beat. I have put 3000klm on this set since last month and I reckon they are probably the best tyre I have ever fitted. Great grip wet or dry and they are a lot quieter than most too. The only thing I cant vouch for is their longevity, because I just dont know.
-
What is your budget? I ask because what I might consider a well priced tyre could be more than you have to play with money wise. If money were no object, the Goodyear f1 asymetric is hard to go by, but you are likely to pay over $250 a corner for them. If you were looking for a sub $200 tyre I suggest Toyo T1Rs which you should be able to get for just under the $200 mark for a 235/45 R17 tyre. If that's more than you want to spend, you should be able to pick up a Maxxis MA-Z1 for around $50 less a tyre and they are good value for money and work quite well. If you really cant afford anything like this, buy a couple of Linglongs. They are crappy but cheap! FWIW I had the Toyo T1R fitted on all 4 corners a month ago and they are brilliant!

EGOXRT is pulling your leg mate! Werribee, a suburb west of Melbourne, is home to the largest sewerage treatment plant in the southern hemisphere. If you take a dump in Melbourne somewhere, ther is an 80% chance that a little piece of you will be in Werribee by the next morning. Of course you wouldn't know this if you weren't from Vic, so to anyone not familiar to the area EGOs joke will go straight over your head.

How did the muffler swapping exercise turn out Fierce?

Just did a carsales search for XR6T utes. This may give you an idea on price. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/results.aspx?Qpb=true&keywords=&SearchAction=N&sid=126AAC8738FC&Nne=15&Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&YearFromShort=1650&YearToShort=1711&N=1216+1247+1282+1252+1246+4294966463+4294966104+4294768672++1650+1711

Usually, you wont get extra for mods here either. I reckon it is priced a touch high, unlesss you happen to luck upon a buyer who is looking for a manual ute with the idea of modding it just like you have, you wont get the extra for all of the $$ you have spent on modding. I sold my ripcurl ute 12 months ago. It was a Bionic BF2 manual with 40,000klm on it. Had the same textralia clutch as yours, a full exhaust, the same gauges, and some PW goodies on it ( stage 2 cooler). I eventually sold it for $28K. It was making less power than yours but I dont think it would have sold for more if it made another 40RWKW. Have you considerd removing the mods, selling the car as stock and selling the bolt ons seperately? If you can be bothered and have the skills to take a lot of the bolt on stuff off yourself, I think it would be the best way of getting the max amount for the ute. The only reason I didn't go this path was that I didn't have the stock exhaust, and taking the rest of the mods off without taking it off would have left someone with a ticking time bomb! Personally, I reckon that unless you happen to come across the right buyer who wants all of those mods anyway, you will have better luck selling it as a stock car IMO and the bolt ons you could sell on here quite easily. I am already eyeing off about half of them!
-
Why not hold onto it for a while. You would get more for it if there wasn't such an over supply at the moent with that dealer dumping multiple units onto ebay. I sold one similar to yours ( age wise) for $330 + postage in 2009. It was the only second hand one on ebay at the time, although there were two new ones on there for $430-$460. Supply and demand baby!

As Sly said, use copper. After all you want to be a responsible tigh arse, dont you? Its not hard to silver solder and you wont have issues with the crosse linked poly breaking down in the sunlight.

Thte. No probs with accomodation. My parents live at Palmwoods so it will be a chance to catch up with them. Also as I have two kids under 2, I doubt you would want us anywhere near your place, especially during witching hour! He he!
