  1. Sounds like we are on the same wavelength, finally!!! No payment required. I will just swap you for my '07 Ripcurl T ute. You wont hear the road noise for the exhaust mate!
  2. Yes it is stuffed! PLease refer to post 4 of this thread for a quick fix! :tosser:

    3k To Spend

Actually I just had a Textralia twin plate fitted for quite a bit less than 3k today. Can't say that I have heard any complaints about this clutch to date, although not a lot have used one here, that's why I bought it actually. Try something a little different instead of just blindly following the rest of the heard. Are you suggesting I have just wasted my time and money on this unit (seeing as its not the clutch that you consider as the only one worth buying)?
  5. Good write up so far XF. Please keep us up to date on your thoughts about these and keep adding more info here as you put a few more miles on these in various conditions.
  6. You obviously have a real problem there. Best get rid of the car now before something real bad happens. I can take it off your hands for a reasonable commision if you like!

    3k To Spend

Mate that sucks! Sorry to hear it and I hope you do get your new ride.
  8. So how have you found these tyres?
  9. Maybe you need to get another occupation Senna? The one you have has a rep for being just that unforutnately. If it bugs you that much, go out and become a plumber. Then we can hit you with the toilet jokes instead!

    3k To Spend

Twin plate clutch, custom tune and injectors. That should be about 3k. The clutch is an important one. No good spending anything on bolt on go fast bits if you cant get the extra power to the ground. Dont ask me how I know. I'm getting a new clutch fitted tomorrow! When you get more cash together, get a big intercooler set up, actuator, port job and exhaust. Getting these before you get your clutch sorted is just a waste of time! If yours is a new BFII ute ( not just new to you) then you wont be needing valve springs for a while so don't waste your money on them. Use that money on a bullet proof clutch instead. If you need the valve springs down the track then get them at that point.
  11. Mate if you aren't enjoying ownership, why not just swap it with me. You can have my Rip curl ute with 16000klm on her. I will even throw in some cash to make it fair!

    Job Info!

I dont suppose FIFO is an option for you at your current job? That way you could have the best of both worlds. Stay at your current position and keep the boss happy plus you get to keep that extra $40K, and when you are off you can play golf n a Perth course and the Mrs isn't too far from the nearest Myer!
  13. Tell me about it. My ute is at the panelbeaters (for the third time since they don't seem to be able to do repairs properly either) at the moment after its 15000klm service at the local Fraud dealership. Apparently the apprentices like throwing spanners around the workshop near the customers cars. My bonnet has the scars to prove it! It will be the last time it sees the inside of that workshop ever!
  14. What would I know, I drive a ute with cart springs ( and no camber issues)!!
  15. Monkeys and peanuts!
  16. Actually I'm, suprised that the guy at Pedders didn't mention this. The camber kit should help here sicklaser.
  17. that's what I figured!
  18. Thanks mate. I'd be very interested to find out what exaclty they change and what (if anything) is as it left the factory.
  19. Just springs? I thought there may have been more to it than that? Do you have any more info about the set up mate?
  20. My local Supercheap auto carries it. Geting it in there without a hoist is the next thing.
  21. Mate that sucks! Bloody forklift drivers. Where the hell do you keep finding these XR8 bonnets. Can you get me one in Bionic please?
  22. Better to be safe than sorry I guess, but I am pretty sure that 100kph is not considred high speed mate! If you were doing lots of track days and/or drag meets or even towing a caravan then your car might fall into the severe usage category. Not for a cruise up the highway at the speed limit though. Good/cheap insurance to change it more frequently rather than neglect it though. FWIW I changed my diff oil yesterday at 15000klm with the recommendede Castrol SAF-XA synthetic diff oil. The drained oil still looked pretty good. A little dark but otheriwse fine.
  23. I wouldn't worry too much about it mate.
  24. Really! Thanks for the tip. I'm tired. Im stuffed. Maybe you better point out where the sarcasm was seeing as how my meter is obviously rooted, or perhaps you could just cut me a bit of slack seeing as how no smileys were used to indicate a post made in jest.
  25. I think that alphabetically is an appropriate way to list the site sponsors forums but seeing as how the site is an XR6 turbo site, it only seems fair that the ute forum ranks above the Focus Forum on the list, don't you think? Then again I suppose it doesn't have to be a T ute to be fit for the uteopia section does it?
