  1. I suppose I could have started a new thread, but then you would have been hanging sh*t on me for not doing a search! LOL Seems you cant win on a forum. My car wasn't doing it 4.5years ago or I would have asked then!
  2. So did you sort it out slow6t? Mine is doing it too and is stock.
  3. Happy Birthday Craig.!

  4. I reckon these cars are low enough in our part of the world broke. The roads up here are a joke. Its no wonder every second person drives a 4WD. As already stated the FPVs that came out with 19s didn't look bad, so go for it mate. What wheels are you thinking of getting?
  5. Where did you buy these. Price?
  6. Paulie, I reckon people do well under the limit because of fear of being booked for accidental speeding, such as doing 63 in a 60 zone, or because the speed limits in some built up areas change so much, that they are worried about sitting on 60 and not seeing the speed limit change to 50 and then get pinged for that. These are probably people who have already been booked for very minor speeding offences a couple of times already in the last 12 months, have had a gutful of handing over money for a speeding offence where they were doing roughly crawling pace over the limit, and have come to realise that the system is set up to ping good drivers who keep their eyes on the road rather than just staring constantly at their speedo and ignoring what is happening around them. A busy piece of rural road that I use on the way to work has something like 8 speed limit changes in about 9klm, ranging from 70 to 100kph. Many of the speed changes make no sense, as not a lot changes between zones as far as road conditions are concerned. With everything else that is going on around on the road, it can be easy to miss one of them even though I know roughly where they are. This comes back to my original post in this thread about our speed laws and being scared of the consequences, with almost zero leeway from cameras and your typical highway patrol copper making you feel like a criminal guilty of a much more serious offence if they pull you over. And after all, its not like they hand out warnings anymore.
  7. What sh*ts me more than anything? The fact that our draconian speed laws are used as a bonus tax system for each state government, meanwhile driving standards are in decline because all of the traffic cops have been replaced by cameras which can only catch you speeding. Stop booking us for doing a snails pace over the speed limit under the guise of saving us from ourselves, and get the cops out there to police and catch people who are doing the types of things that will be brought up in this thread, FFS! The other thing that sh*ts me is that the highway patrol and traffic cops that are left seem to think that fear and intimidation is the best way to do there job. Its not a war you are fighting you halfwits, we are talking about minor traffic indescrecions, so use a bit of common sense and nouse and you might just get the respect of your average joe back, because at the moment you don't have it!
  8. Tobey, you mentioned Race Brakes Sydney in your earlier post. Do they do upgrades to beef up the the AP clutch? I would have thought that this would be the best solution if that is the case. Its a good clutch, so just upgrade the friction material on the friction plates and hey presto.
  9. Correct me if I am wrong guys, but doesn't the AP racing twin plate in the BF F6 handle 350-380RWKW without too many worries?
  10. Luke. Read the whole thread and you will find that someone has already asked about the FPV badges and Hypnodoc has answered. Hint: See post #6
  11. Fair enough. I was more interested in whether or not there was an actual dB level legislated in QLD, not so much for my car, but for my bike exhaust. I run an aftermarket pair of slips ons (like most bike riders) and they are probably bordering on too noisy, although there are plenty of cars, trucks and Harley riders with straight through pipes around that give it a run in the loud stakes.
  12. So no mention of decibel levels or anything like that Greg?
  13. Neither is that pimply faced 15yo who just pushed the button on that fully automatic coffee machine that you paid $3.80 for! I should clarify though that the coffee we get in the drive thru of our local Maccas isn't the same as the Mc Cafe coffee that they serve up inside, which does in fact pass for coffee. Perhaps this isn't the case where you guys are.
  14. 'Maccas drive thu' and 'nice coffee' are not words I would have thought possible in the same sentence. Any coffee I have ever had from a Maccas drive thru has been dishwater.
  15. Yeah I kinda think you may have been a bit harsh. Just a little bit. What we actually have here is a case of a business over promising and under delivering on their behalf, and a customer who is demanding that this promise be met however unrealistic. After all, if they had said allow 10 working days for delivery you still would have ordered it and if it took 12 would you be whining like you are? Personally I just don't think that 48 hours is realistic delivery time unless you are using a courier and have ordered it on a Monday morning. When you consider that you purchased on a Saturday, they wouldn't have even got the order for 48 hours assuming that they work regular business hours (Mon-Fri 9-5) and even if they did get it on Sat or Sun, how are they going to get it to go anywhere when the Aus Post doesn't run over the weekends? Personally I allow two weeks for anything via ebay because from my experience Aus Post sucks balls and I live in a back water! As for the comment, it's left here, sorry, but once it leaves them what else can they do? Sure they could have apologized and been a bit nicer on the phone. They could have rang you back with a courtesy call too, but that wouldn't have made your parcel appear any quicker. Did you specify you wanted your parcel registered/or sent via courier so that it could be tracked and that you would be happy to pay extra for that service? Did you tell them that you must have it within 48 hours?
  16. It's not one of you mates playing practical jokes on you is it? A zip tie placed around your tailshaft makes a noise just like the one you describe.
  17. Cheapest and least restrictive and not a road going car? 4" straight through. No mufflers. Mild steel pipe is cheap.
  18. I call it Bruce! Its the rocker cover breather. That should be close enough info wise to buy one if that's what you are trying to do.
  19. The AP racing clutch fitted to the BFs should be good for at least 380RWKW in standard trim and I believe there are guys running a lot more than this with a ceramic plate set up.
  20. Craig.

    Etc Fault?

My bog stock car did this the other day too. Not sure what the solution is but I am subscribing to see if anyone comes up with something.
  21. Yeah, I am sure they do! A lot heavier car than a skyline though that doesn't handle likle a R33 without big $$ on suspension mods, and even then its several hudred kg heavier, so why not do this transplant and have the best of both worlds? Plus if you have already spent money on driveline, brake and suspension upgrades, why start from scratch when you can just plonk the engine you want into a much lighter better handling car that you already own? The RB engines don't have anything like the torque curve of our 4.0 T so I can see the point!
  22. Are you talking an FG clutch? I believe that the FG F6 had a different clutch to the BF Typhonn/Tornado, but I could be wrong!
  23. If you get a good quality cat you should be able to achieve the numbers you are looking at without too much drama depending on what other mods you are doing. If you don't get there, then replace the centre muffle with a better flowing one. I just purchased a 5 inch body 100 cell ballistic cat from sureflo exhausts on another ford forum. They are running special at the moment through that forum. Ballistic cats seem to be a good bit of gear with a good rep so I would look at getting one of these. Its the second one I have bought. The first was fitted to my ute. I am yet to fit this one.
  24. Travel the world, forget the car. Now is the best time of your life to do this. You will never have less overheads or responsibilities than you do now. at your age you are eligible for work visas anywhere. Once you get a bit older these opportunities will pass you by. The experience will live with you for a lifetime. You have the rest of your life to get into debt paying off a house and cars will always be there and they only get better and faster. You can't take it with you, so just get out and live!
