Hey Ken, If I'm not mistaken, that ring was made by the company I work for, I helped mine the gold that went into it! And before you comment Im 6'3,a little tall to be a Dwarf. Take care of your ring and don't rub it with abrasive agents...... The ring

    Bloody Crows!

Got back to camp two days ago to discover two crows, busily using my T as a toilet!! Cleaned off the residue and the next day, more Cr@p on the car! Woke up this morning to the sound of them at it again! It's parked up under cover but they fly in and sh!t all over the drivers door, I tried turning in the mirror and tying a plastic bag near the car but that doesn't discorage them. Anybody got a shotgun?? have they been trained by a Expensive Daewoo owner? how do I keep these bastards off my car?
  4. Join the club, I'll bet it's the passenger side? There's already a thread here on this.... Try the search, I'd post the link for you, but I don't know how.... I think they crack due to flexing of the front platic nose. Have a good look,I bet you don't find a stone chip and I'd be asking ford to fix it.
  5. PhantomUte, Welcome, what won you over? I'm assuming you were a fan of the Japanese high-performance cars? It was the specs of the engine that got me, twin VCT, Turbo, duel length intake manifold...ect. You'll love the ute and you got a great colour too!

    Lsd Rumours

All Turbos get the T/C, and LSD, T/C with LSD the way ford set it up is a great combination, I leave the T/C on when driving in a "spirited" manner as it makes the car oh so stress free, much less likely to spin off the road and you can lend it to someone not used to the power, they're less likely to get into bother.
  7. Yeah! great drive, I'm in Darwin tomorrow on my way to Perth I'll give you a call if If I get there with enough time to spare... bad luck with the swaybar, I might climb under my car and check mine now. Came out this morning and both sides of the plasic front had popped out from under the front guards...Odd-- I haven't hit anything??, a quick hit and they were back in place though.
  8. Must be the way you flog that poor car Stevo, Id back off a bit if I were you P.S Premium brakes....Love it!
  9. Think I'd rather have a V8 if I was buying one of those... The T motor isn't the best suited for a 4wd, though the N/A six is probably a good compromise.
  10. Nothing. (well mostly nothing) Ive had the car for 2 month now and clocked up over 4000K, most of it highspeed on the NT roads here, Ive jammed on the brakes and hooked it round corners, I switched off the TC and smoked the tyres up through the gears. OK so a fog light cracked and one or two pebbles got in the side skirt, Fitted spats and the light still works (for now) So... Im really happy! Read some posts about the problems people have been having and just thought I'd put a happy story up. Can't get the smile off my face or anyone back into the car once they take a ride with me! (too scared) I love this car and I have a beer and just look at it still. It's far and away the best car I've ever owned and I'd buy again in a second. I guess most of us feel this way but I just had to have a say

    Xr6t Review

T.C off, launch at 3500 Rpm, change at 6000,.... what lag?
  12. Lent my new EF2 xr6 to my ex-girlfriend, she had oncomming traffic and could not swerve the roo got the right guard, bonnet and windscreen :( . After confirming she was OK I was a bit disapointed about the damage and said "surely you could have avioded it..." Two days later I hit a roo while we were driving to Esperance, front right guard and door, hadden't had it repaired yet, roo hopped away.... She sat very quietly and didn't say a word . The buggers wait in the trees and jump out as you approach, I hate them. You guys are dead right, slow down as much as you can and grit your teeth, learned my lesson, If they want to hit you, they will!
  13. Wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have such a little fuel tank, you need the last 80 k's and don't want to listen to the beep, beep,..... I just turn up the stereo.
  14. OK put me in the cracked foglight club! :( Passenger side also, no sign of a stone chip. Got it on Sunday.

    It's Fast

    I Got My L's!

Well done on the "L's" ! My first car to drive around was a renult 12 ($200) so the AU's a good start! Going to take a defensive driving course myself soon, did an ambulance course and had a great time!

    It's Fast

Big long, flat NT roads, nothing but SADs in the morning. I only tried the CC for a laugh, but it does work up to 200 and you can drive on selected bits of road at that speed without suffering instant death. Most people here sit between 130 - 160 kph as I do, except when having some fun. Yep the brakes are ready and yep they're premiums to boot and with the CC on your foot can hover above the brake pedal. As I've said before, the best thing about the T is the acceleration from 100 to whatever, it gets you past the caravans and road trains quick as you like. Here the cops look at your driving, the condition of your car and use discretion, if you're going too fast for the conditions, you get booked, if you drive like an idiot, you get booked. If you're just driving fast, they don't even look. Come up here and have a try, you'd love it.

    It's Fast

The cruise control won't set at over 200 kph........
  19. Call in sick on monday Turboculitis......
  20. You can actually buy a new key and "train" it to work your car, at a later date you can then disable the key, it's all in the handbook. Pretty cool stuff.
  21. Yup, I got the ford racks for my hang glider, they're sleek and are removed easily with a key. Ford need to modify the inner door under the doorseal and mark where the racks fit, they doi this for free when you buy thier racks (I think they are ~$450), the salesman stuffed up and I got them for $25 when I got my T.
  22. Problem is they "earn" a heap of revenue from people who speed (I've had my share of fines) and if this disapears they'll have to replace that money somehow, more taxes? that will loose more votes than putting up more camera's. Not saying it's right, but you need an alternative revenue source, the money they get from these camera's is, after all, already spent. The excuse for taxing smokers is the same lopsided logic: " They are more likely to get sick and need hospitals, so let them pay for it" It's not true, they get sick and DIE thus saving vast sums of the public monies on aged healthcare. We can just say if you don't want to pay the taxes, don't smoke (or speed) Hmm.....might go out for a ciggie.........Personally I think 110 on those concrete four lane freeways is absurd, lobby for a 130 Kph limit on selected roads, then they can get revenue from people who cruise at 135.
  23. Yes Ken, and it gets quite hot in there after a long drive out to Belanglo Forest.....
  24. Probably South Africa.
  25. Do you have premium sound Kvntoday? lovely colour rainy, wish I had one like it,....Oh, I do!
