Ok, thanks everyone I'll check tonight if they are fitted properly, the sound it makes when it rubs really makes you sit up and take notice!

I've only got the 17's but the front right mudspat fouls when turning and gads does it sound terrible! Anybody else notice this? Scared the heck out of me when I first heard it.

No matter which cover you use make sure the car is spotless before you put it on, dust uder the cover will roll around in the wind and leave little circular scatches on your roof......

whats an IT? Induction Tube? Internal Taper? In the underground it stands for "Intergrated tool" a fancy way of saying articulated forklift.

Ken, WTF? I've been away ONE WEEK and next thing I know not only do you have your car, you've clocked up 3000K! I've had mine two months and only just hit 4000K! AND to top it off you're actually now posting about the car AND some usefull info too!!! ( )What has happened to you?? I couldn't find one grubby inuendo on this whole thread.

Butzy, I know exactly what you're talking about, I watched the hillclimb track in Canberra get closed because some high level bureaucrats bought houses on the other side of the ridge.....Good luck, I seem to remember some drama over who actually owns the land that the strip was built on or something...I'll sighn, I raced there once....

It's rare for me to just fill up the car and leave the servo, 140 k South of Darwin, you don't see many (execpt on the Katherine run we did!) I had one attendant tell me all about the car, power figures, tyre sizes, ect ect. I stopped saying "yeah, I know" after about 15 mins......He was really keen. Still think I get more looks in the old Jag though, there just aren't that many left, (or they're wondering how it still runs...) even had some young girls wave at me! (been a loooong time scince that's happened!)

The bugs during the dry season are shocking up here, especially at sunset. I've got a new paint scheme, Phanto with custom bugsplat flame job. The T's a snake now, you'll only see it out and about in the sunshine.

Gilto, Thanks for the Info, I for one will be trying your suggested method, and I know the manual will reach 100 in second, I've done it. You're dead right about not having the turbo spooled up, I tried that and the car just sat there making a buzzing noise creating smoke.....fun, but expensive and slow. I like manuals and that's why I bought one, plus I havent trusted ford auto's since the EA, a long time a go, but I remember (Im sure that's all sorted now...) the EF2 XR6 also help convince me to get the premium brakes. (they were shockers) As for the manual, it is clunky and the noises from the driveline makes me wince every now and then, and some times it helps to chant the mantra when changing (get in there!...you b**ch...) if I had my lot again.....I think still the manual.

? never heard the blow off valve in mine or any turkeys.....only a faint wine that increases in volume the faster I go, But then I suggested she could walk if she didn't like the way I drive.......

when I was 20, I rated a 9.5, there wasn't anything I didn't think I couldn't do.... At 25 I rated a 7.5, had a go at rally driving and went for a drive with someone who really could drive... now at 35 I'd say 5. I can drive the care safely and go round corners without crashing, Just like almost everyone else on the road....

No squealing for me I've got 4000K but its mostly highspeed country driving. Some odd clunking noises now and again though.......

I think the difference will come down more to driver ability than anything else. I tried to "launch" by turning the TC off and taking it up to 3000rpm, ( used to be good in the skyline) and the car just sat there and smoked the tyres with a quite buzzing sound.....Not much of a launch but fun, at tad expensive on tyres though :lol: Fastest at the drags? the Auto, fastest around the track? neither! The T fitted with the premium brakes manual OR Auto!

How come most drag cars run autos? Cause they're quicker on the dragstrip. how come brake shudder happens to Autos mostly? Cause they're harder on the brakes on the strip, I think the Auto will win 10 laps around bathurst, my money is on the manual. (had your brakes skimmed again NTTURBO.....? :lol: )

That makes sense too! I guess time will tell.....

I feel all let down now, :( I thought I had an excellent car, I didn't realize the indicator / windsceen washer levers were on the wrong side! Does anyone know of an after market mod to swap them? and I'd better convert it to left hand drive too, so it can be a proper car. oh yeah, and then I need the speedo converted to Mph.....perhaps then a lobotomy.

Welcome Jimmyboy, don't worry about Ken...Oh... hang-on... he was normal, no inuendo... Sorry just habit to aplogise for him when saying g'day to newbies. :D More performance? there are quite a few good threads in here, I suggest you avail yourself of the search facility, there you will find things people have actually tried and tested discussed in great detail, I've not thought about modding my T yet as It's fast enough for me (for now...)

I've posted this elsewhere, but.... I noticed both sides of the plastic nosecone had "pooped" out from under the front guards, and I suspect the fog lights are cracking because of the close fit in the nose, it flexes and the lights crack. I didn't have any stone chips on mine and it cracked from the bottom to the top, like it had been squashed. I suspect the protectors may not work and the flexing is the cause of the fractured lights.... Just a thought.

Oh Ken, since when have you backed down from a challenge such as this? Methinks 1axr is winning........
