Helping Local Families in Need Making Cancer Kids' Dreams Come True Rescue Helicopter Service Yeah and even the worst of the worst biker gangs take time out from their heroin trafficking over xmas to buy a few toys kids. That doesn't make it "all better" how about addressing some of the issues raised? Do you think union membership should be compulsory?

Umm... Cause Canberra is full of public servants who think they're intellectuals taking the high moral ground.... (Oh and traditionally, the pubes have done better under a labor government.) from an ex Canberra resident. P.S, The majority voted for labor, so that's who we got. I don't abide by stupidity argument, if the majority is stupid then they elect the leader to best represent them. that's a democracy.

Standover tactics Forcing people to join a union when they don't want to back room deals between union bosses and dodgey employers disenfranchising employees and encouraging them to view the "boss" as the enemy mistrust engendered in the workforce I was forced to join the Uni student union (had to to go to uni) I paid $70 a semester so funkwits like simon b@stard corbell could kick start his political career off money that could have been better spent on Books, fuel, beer ect. he didn't give a rats fatz about the uni, the services or anything but his own p1ssant career in the labor party. Funk 'em all. funk labor and funk funking unions. if unions are so great then let people decide for themselves if they want to join or if they want collective barganing, cause I'll tell you right now, the only people collective barganing benefits are those to lazy / dumb to earn a decent days pay for a decent days work. They have to ride off others AKA compusary membership. Yes, Corbell and I went through the same Uni, only I did a science degree. Wish I'd snotted the little shirt-lifter when I had the chance. there's more, but I'm going home now.

yes tell us why you hate unionists so much Tmac..... then I can add my reasons.

because for that exact reason, an out of control animal is incapable of rational thought, and hence changing it's ways, a human being is. Calling humans animals is not particularly helpfull, Hitler did it with the jews to justify the death camps....(more state sanctioned executions) And yes, I agree with you it is riddled with contradictions, that's what makes discussing it fun.

So you don't like the Taliban analogy? OK what about China then? Tibetans killed simply for political dissent..You can't argue that china's government is illegitimate also can you? P.S just how many of today's govenments don't have a blood-soaked past (sanctioned by violence)? So just where do you draw the line for executions then? It's a grey area too dangerous to tread in my opinion. There is no conflict on my stance, a court sanctioned killing is completely different to one enacted in the heat of the moment. That's why there's a charge of manslaughter and not all those guilty of causing death are automatically locked up for life, the courts aknowledge that a father seeing his family killed infront of him would probably kill the offender if he had the chance. Big difference to coldly planning someones death long after the fact. What's wrong with just locking up irredeemable criminals forever anyway? At least that way if there's an erronous conviction, you can release later on, too late once they're dead... Hmm, that's beside the point though, for me it's a matter on consence and I do sleep better at night knowing I don't live in a contry that kills using the courts. My oposition to the death penalty is a philosophical one, sadly the world is hardly ever black and white, despite charaters like john laws and Alan what's-his-name's best efforts to portray it as such. In a perfect world you say, then it would be OK......Well, in a perfect world, the prison system WOULD rehabilitate, but the world isn't perfect...is it? to me, revenge is a base human motivation, societies are a community of humans, with interdependancies living together which neccesitates the suppresion of such base urges, often communities organise themselves in such a manner that the majority gets to decide how that community functions, sure it's not perfect, but such a system operates here in Aust and following a referendum the death penalty was abolished. In 2007 Australia became a signatory to support the abolishment of the death penalty worldwide. This is something I'm glad of. No I'm not sad that they are dead, I am sad however that we live in a world where people though it nessicary to blow up innocents and other people killed them for revenge. It ain't gonna solve the problem, dude suicide bombers do themselves in when they act, is the death penalty going to deter them? That's patently absurd. Hapily as KS pointed out we're free to disagree, and also happily, the majority of Australians agree with me, as decided by referendum in or around 1973. Anyways, this is just my opinion and I'm always interested to have it challenged

yes rehabilitation is a pipe dream, but it's a worthy one, what alternative do you suggest we kill ALL law breakers as rehabilitation is just a pipe dream? No, its an accurate comparison, both executions were state sanctioned, the Taliban were the state in Afganistan it's irrelevant wether we approved of them or not. yes that's correct, it it were my family I'd want to take matters into my own hands, but that's revenge, understandable in an individual but detestable in a rabble. We are humans, capable of rational thought and not simply acting on what feels good at the time. The Bali bombers commited a detestible act, killing them only lowers us to thier level.

He's solution to everything: Make the "rich" pay for the "working families" Perhaps those greedy rich should buy him more ties? Oh and no poor fukker was complaining when sub-prime lending allowed them to secure a home loan that otherwise wouldn't have been able to get, and when they can't make the payments? Guess what, it's all those greedy rich peoples fault. The Borrowers dug the hole they're in now and we have to bail them out? BS. sucked in povert, next time RTFM.

best post: You can fit more beer in the T. See plenty of WRX's and a few EVO's at hidden valley. Only ever see one or two T's and these are SLOW around the track compared to other cars. (when they're not oveheating) Even a ham-fisted Mong like me beats em in the EVO and theres a couple of rexxies there that I'm slower than by 4-5 seconds. The T for long trips / comfort and a good level of performance the WRX for fastest from A to B.

I must say that the Bali bombings did quite upset me, they blew up a mob of people out for a good time on the cheap. the victims were in the majority, a mob of young kids not interested in harming islam or anyone else. However I have never nor will I ever support the death penalty, no matter how heanous the crime, It's state sanctioned murder and as part of a society that condones it, it puts blood on all our hands. life imprisonment is just as certain a way to remove these defectives from our society as the death penalty. As far as I see it, the prison system has two functions: 1:Rehabilitation 2: Ensuring those likely to recommit cannot. revenge is not ever a valid reason to imprison someone and certainly the sign of a very sick society if it's used as a rational for execution. look at the tailban, shooting women in the back of the head as revenge for them having the audacity to: A) Drive a car B) not wear a headscarf c) Getting an education No, I'm not happy that they've been shot and no, I don't think killing a mob of dumbass drug-mules is going to make the world a better place either.

listen to scar, he's correct. Sure you can earn big bickkies in the mining industry, but FIFO is hell on your life, the week off sounds good to start with but the week on is a killer, add in travel time and the fact that you're generally to rooted to enjoy your time off for the first couple of days and well, it just isn't as good as it sounds. there has been a massive downturn in mining jobs over the last month too, employers can now pick and choose, they pick those with experience and salary levels on offer are dropping rapidly. Untill last month I had 4 Geos and 3 fieldies working out of my company, they are all looking for work elsewhere and my own current employement is far from secure. one company I was doing work for went bust and left me ~ $80,000 out of pocket..... Mining is boom or bust and trust me, the bust is here.

Yeah the F9 was fuel only the "A" meant you could run closed loop, I never set that up though. I'll have a look at the E11v2, but I've sorta blown my budget for a bit and I think good treads will help my track times a lot more than more power....
