  1. true, but oh so much easier to get into trouble with 500hp.
  2. My last encounter with travel agents left me cold. Much better to do it yourself.
  3. Brad, Both came over and loved it, Im back at work paying for it now... Brian, We went to Mesa Verdea and looked at the cliff dwelings, amazing...Not called Anasazi anymore apparently, they call 'em Ancestral Publicans or some such...
  4. Just spent a week working in Denver then driving around sight-seeing. took some photo's of various vehicles that appealed to me thought some of you might like to see.... This Vette had been gutted inside, undercoat but new wheels, tyres and exhaust, I liked it. Just went out for some milk Thankfully, no cornerns between home and the shops, I guess.... And for the Ford fans,Two T-birds looking for a home.... Interestingly, 90% of the time, if you hear an 8 with a hot tune, when you look around, it's a pickup of some description or other... Only got on incident of road rage, and that was some cranky bird in a silverado pickup... One guy tried to crash into me twice, he was looking all around in the inside of his cab and kept auto lane changing... I guess he had dropped his ammo.
  5. Ban the high income earners, then watch at the site donations... Is Kevin Rudd a mod here now?
  6. For the full tactile experience, add salt liberally.....
  7. tis what I did.
  8. yep drilled all around the house.
  9. Not cheap ~$1500 for a full-proper garden and all treatment. they're tough little sods, hard to kill and like herpies, they just keep comming back.
  10. off to denver for work, then skiing and tripping round for a week in colorado.
  11. Cheers for that, I couldn't have been figged to read through 600 pages and In reality, I doubt I'll have any trouble at all, it's just the principle that bothers me.
  12. To right! The evo is a nightmare in town, the speedo is tiny and there's no cruise control. I go around everywhere 5-10Kms shy of the limit.
  13. I believe the new laws allow the union reps to access ALL employee records, irrespective of permission or union membership. Also they can do these inspection when they wish. My place of buisness is also my place of residence, so they can walk into my house whenever they want. Not even the police have this power, they need just cause. Here lies the rub. I'm certain unions had /have thier place and I have no objection to them either, except when people are forced to join (as they forced me to, when I went to Uni) and when they are given powers that go beyond those of normal citizens. Compulsary union membership at Uni what bollocks...Thier reason for it being compusary? Well if it wasn't nobody would join! I paid my fees for four years, all of which went to the likes of Simon Corbell who used MY money to launch HIS political career in the Labor party. I would like to say that this whole thing is just un-Australian, but I fear I may be wrong. Bludging and winging that others have more than you do while being told what, when, how and where we can conduct our lives seems to be what the majority of the populace wants, it's a democracy so we've gotten what we voted for, fair enough, I don't have to like it though.
  14. Dan, been doing just that for two years, I agree with everyone who said get a good accountant, they save you lots of money and let you sleep at night, mine also set up the buisness and has been great in advising on all money matters, I can call him up whenever and his bills are nothing compared to the stess and trouble I would have had otherwise.
  15. Tax Tax Tax, woopie and now they want to let union thugs walk into my home, and look at employee records if they so choose... My office is at home and I have employees, none of whom are in a union, doen't matter. They'd better come armed. you labouuuuuur commie china butt kissing vomit stain government.
  16. 3 months ago my buisness employed 3 geologists and 2 field assistants, due to the mining downturn, it now employs me. The 5 staff I employed were all well trained hard working and loyal, After taking out the public, proffesional and workers comp insurances I had to pay to employ them, I cleared ~$250 a month (pre-tax) to keep them on my books, hardly worth it with all the admin and supervising I needed to do that took me away from working billable time to clients. So well, now they're not working for me anymore, indeed two of them aren't working for anybody. The Geos were on between $600 to $800 a day and the fieldies $350 a day. that's ~$2000 a day going out of my buisness to "stimulate" the economy as the employees spend thier hard earned on whatever they please. What assisatnace did I get to try and help retain my staff? NONE. What incentives did the govenment provide to encourage me to grow my buisness NONE. What's better stimulus, a one off $950 payment or $2000 payed every day? Better to have people employed EARNING money than just getting it for sweet F.A. My god, what is this country becomming? Personally I find it highly offensive that my tax dollar is getting handed out gratus to "working families" wtf are labor going to do when there are no high income earners left here to pay for thier grand ideals? Saw this one comming a mile away. F'n commies.
  17. must be about 900,000 std lancers with EVO bodykits getting around... there's a *beep* in Darwin with a EVO 5 lookalike and a jam-tin tailpipe, it goes like a hyundai.....

  20. Shazzy, something that could have been oh - so worse, so glad it wasn't!
  21. I'm not surprised. Given the pittance you get on resale, the loans were pretty much unsecured and with the very low interest rates now available on loans there can't have been much margin it it for them. I doubt it's going to hurt sales too much though.
  22. Good thread! I'll be there too, flying in for the show. got tickets for chrissy as well.
  23. Love the 124, I nearly bought one in my youth, but got an XB instead... Had a mate who rebuilt a 850 sport..Now that was a car that could corner, but when it lets go, it let go a doozy with that engine in the back and all. still like the fiats, Arbath 124 mmmm.
