    Blonk New Ride

I Always prefer to fly a piper over a Cessna...An Arrow is good, but pricey on maintenance.. retracts and variable pitch prop, a warrior is too gutless, Id go for an archer, biger motor fared U/C, a good compomise for a decent price.
  9. 10-20 days a month 10-12 hours a day @ $1300 a day. (been told I'm UNDER charging WTF!!) long live the mining boom. Looking for staff so I can go fishing more often!
  10. What I can't understand is if NT cruise section / cruises are so lame why does he keep coming in here?
  11. when the XR6T came out I went in and bought one, what a fantastic Idea, 4.0 ltr turbo, what a rush to drive. I did love the car, but after the third time the turbo broke the second time the diff let go and with fifth gear on the way out, it just kind of lost the attraction. (I don't think this was a result as any deficiencies in the T, just the result of the rejects ford use for a service dept up here) I drove my T in to trade up to a phoon but the way the sales staff treated me I left ford not wanting to be up on assault charges (yes, I nearly snotted a salesman) I drove the T round to Mitsi, they had an EVO there I found out that even at 6"4 I fit easily. The ralliart dealer was excellent and gave me a trade-in on the T $10,000 more than ford was offering. I signed then and there. A phoon would be the better car for long-distance cruising, but (at the risk of offending...but sorry it's true...) The EVO eats them alive around the track, it's got a 10 year warranty and out-brakes / out-handles just about anything on the road, even a mong driver like me can be competitive round the track.... The Evo has 16,000K's on the clock now and has never missed a beat, It sits on the road at 250 like the T did at 180, It handles like a go-kart and You can get Ralliart to modify and keep your warranty. So far I've had the ECU and fuel pump done, next is the exhaust and filter, this should see ~250KW off the flywheel and will make for a serious track-day car. Happy with the EVO and would do it all over again.
  12. hey! don't go making suggestions like that...what are those cars coming down my driveway? hey they look like
  13. We don't even lock the house up here.....
  14. me on turn 1
  15. all up, I paid $170, (CAMS licenses, insurances ect ect) and I joined NAMSC also. could have done it for ~$100...I got one shot of the grid, however was too busy driving to get any more, there were photographers all over the shop, so I'll get some shots and pass em on.
  16. WHAT A DAY! Only one EVO and one XR6T (that guy knew how to peddle) didn't spin or hit any one else and ran out of fuel on the last lap of the day. the EVO makes any clown behind the wheel go fast, plenty of 4 wheel slides, probably halved the tire life today, but who cares! there's another meet next month. Oh yeah, watched a commie leave the track on a flatbed, first lap of the day and his clutch sh@t itself.

  19. I'll be at hidden valley tomorrow morning for the street car track day, All welcome. Bring a stack hat.
  20. Heart disease kills ~38,000 Australians a year, EVERY year. This is obviously a national tragedy beyond measure. I call for a "war on heart disease" we can shoot all those peddling high cholesterol food, put ccd cameras in peoples cupboards and arrest those who continue to use salt. Smokers, excessive drinkers and the obese can all be imprisoned or deported , ban fish and chips, McDonalds and pizza hut. Tap peoples phones to find out who isn't performing (the now compulsory) morning exercise program. 38,000 a year, EVERY year... If a terrorist got even one person in Australia, there would be a media feeding frenzy, Today tonight: "how you can protect your family" ACA :"are your niebours terrorists?" Helpful (If your a govenment agency trying to increase your powers, that is) Lets be all good little plebeians, the government knows best...trust them... If you ask questions, it's un-patriotic and un-Australian. Just do what you're told. We have more information than you and we're not telling what it is. This whole anti terror crud is worse than the bloody terrorists! If they could PROVE he'd done something wrong he'd be in jail. N.B he isn't...or are we all scared enough yet that it doesn't matter?
  21. I'd shy from the term "police state" but Nanny state seems very appropriate, this time last year I used to drive the Stuart Hwy at speeds well over 200 kph, the cops would wave as they went past, (on their way to do something important, no doubt) Now I have to do the limit determined safe by some dude in a Melbourne Uni, I need a licence to fish Aboriginal waters and I'm not supposed to enjoy a cool beer while I do it. I have to fence my pool, trim my fire breaks and wash my hands after having a pi$$. The government should get the F outa my life and get back to running this country. threat from terrorists....PLEASE!! you've got more chance of being hit by lightning, stacking your car, or drowning in your own vomit than getting blown up by terrorists.
  22. Ken oath.
  23. yeah, the Monaro looks like a photochop, the lines are all wrong.
  24. Don't quite agree about the urine testing, I suggest the following; The whole point of the dole is a safety net to allow people to get back on their feet / find useful employment, It should be given 90% food, transport and rent tokens. if you want discretion on how you spend your F'n income, then F'n earn it! If you find tokens degrading, then get a F'n job. If you can hold down a job and get drunk/ stoned / whatever, fine by me, so long as you're not going to hurt anyone else.
  25. ....and my opinion is that there isn't enough information to tell either way.
