Oi! LEFT Kick panel, not right. it's the potentiometer feed to the boost cut controller. Don't cut it, your car may go better for a while, but I have it on good authority that ford are onto this mod and you'll loose your warranty. A better mod that ford won't spot is the standard injectors, pull them and if you look real close you'll see a little pin in there that restricts fuel flow, just drill it out and replace the injectors. now you've got high flow injectors that run 100% duty cycle 100% of the time, but and I swear it on my life, the car will NEVER run lean again!

there was this dude with dreddies riding his bike for Kalgoorlie to Coolgardie..now this was (and still is) a fairly narrow road, frequented by roadtrains and a multitude of other vehicles. He was well within his rights and well within the law to be riding there, thing is, he happened to encounter two roadtrains going either way, the three had nowhere to go and he either fell, was sucked under or got hit by the 2nd boogie. 12 tyres later and he was lying there all broken chewing on his innards that had exited his mouth. He didn't last long.... Hitting a roo or a wombat just isn't anywhere near as messy, they've got thick hides and tend to stay in one piece, people don't. Sure cyclists, the law's on your side and you have every right to be on the road, but PLEASE use common sense, there are some times / places that it just isn't wise to be out riding.....

Agreed. The Social issues have been riased to mask a tax increase. Young people are drinking themselves to death! Raise taxes to solve the problem! Question the solution and by implication you support young people drinking themselves to death. Same with speeding ect ect Every time these Fuktards come up with a new "problem" they use it as an excuse to slip in more legislation and slip in more taxes, just you watch; Global warming..? lets raise the taxes on electricity, petrol, cars, appliances...ect to discourage thier use, wow aren't we socially responsible! (meanwhile the profits from these taxes gut pumped straight back to the unions to repay them for getting labor in, like wow, and that's not going to cause inflation??)

Why do you think I got the 100 series? Never fit that many green cans in an Evo......

Name, Adress, and intended location of where you plan to drink the alcohol. It's to stop the rampant alcohol abuse in some of the.... err...."communities" I can't see how it'll work... If I'm driving home from Darwin I could: Get 2 cartons of VB from a Darwin Grog shop, stop at Casurina, get another 2 cartons, drive on to Coolalinga, get 2 more, stop at Noonamah and get another 2... by the time I'm home I've got 192 cans these cans sell for ~$5.00 each in a dry comunity if sold on sit-down-money payday. (though with the new tax and all, I guess I'd have to raise the price) near $700 profit and my name not anywhere to be seen..... It's just a minor annoyance to the bootleggers and major piss-off to honest citizens. Another fine regulation curtesy of the Crud nanny state.

$123? in the NT you must give your name and adress when buying over $100 worth of booze, so you can't even get 1 slab of the stuff without the Gestapo knowing? Glad I drink coopers....

Oh Goodness! The Rudd government raising taxes under the pretext of saving our children? Who would have thought. People, this is only the beginning. Some of the older members remember what life was like under Labor. The great leap backwards... Now watch as it happens again and again, next well tax the ring out of the well-off to help the poor Aussie Battlers who now have no money to feed their kids... because a carton of JD's and winnie blues cost too much. Just watch as inflation takes off like nobodies business as Crud bumps up wages to pay back his union mates for helping him win government. I'm gonna pay off the home and invest, with interest rates going they way they will, it'll be better return to have money in the bank then invested anywhere else.

talk to your mates, they'll drag you off and keep you distracted, that's what they're for... most of us have been there as well, so don't stress too much about that! best thing for now is to keep your mind occupied elsewhere...

Been saying this for a while, you'll find there are very few geologists who buy into the whole anthopogenic climate change model that is being bandied about. The model that is most commonly quoted is computer based and DOES NOT use data for the last 8 years, why? Because the last 8 years shows a stable climate, indeed over the last 3, temperatures have fallen. So guess what? Now it's called Climate change, it's still our fault (apparently) but it's not a rise in temperature, its a change that we need to be afraid of. what a mob of toss-pots. temperatures have ALWAYS fluctuated and they always will. If you look at when the temperatures did increase, you can see that CO2 % in atmosphere did rise, AFTER the tempreature rose! Why? open a cold beer and a hot beer, take a sip from each over the next hour and see which goes flat first...the ammount of gas that can be disolved in a fluid is directly related to the fluids temperature! Heat the ocean and guess what? it gives off Co2. A media story about a possible rise (or fall) in temperature of 0.5 C over 100 years is a non event. if it goes up by 10 C over 10 years, woop-de-doo! Now that's a story! I don't think it's a deliberate effort on the media's part to misslead us or participate in a global Fraud, it's just the nature of the media to inflate the story and focus on sensational claims...it sells more papers. No scientist should ever "believe" anything...rather they test hypothesis. This one has been proved to be flawed. There are two kinds of people in the world: Those who believe in climate change and those who understand it. P.S there's actually a large subvolcanic system beneath Antarctica that is currently in an active phase, you'd think this would have more effects on the Ice sheet than atmospheric temperatures eh? If people need something to be afraid of, they should fear how gullible people are.

I think there are bigger evils in the world than a story (true or not) about a dude who basically said, "be nice to each other" Does the truth of the bible really matter one way or the other? It's the message that counts, not who said it or when.

Instill Fear, it's a great seller. I suggest getting today-tonight or some such other paragon of journalistic integrity to go and take swabs from the wheelie bins (No great leap for Today-tonight, they've already swabbed door knobs, escalator hand-rails, kitchen benches...even shopping trollies.. No matter that every surface on this planet is teeming with Ecoli ect ect... facts are irrelivant.) Then go find a pathology lab employee to rattle off all the the nasty diseases that are living in there, this should be easy path-lab employees are paid cr@p wages, just make sure they're wearing their white coat... Get your mate to add a dash of detol and instead of calling it "cleaning" call it "sanitizing" Then run a Fear based add campaign about how if Ya don't get your bin "sanitized" your exposing your children to infection by fatal diseases... I.e If you loved your children you'd get the bin "sanitized" it's only $15 This little plan shouldn't cost your mate more than $5000 for advertising, heck, may even get some free advertising on today tonight if he appears as an "Expert" all worried about the poor kids he's trying to save by "sanitizing" the wheelie bins.

Whoa there big fella, "superstitious fool" is a bit harsh.. Any rational person should understand that science is a predictive model for the behavior of observable phenomenon, It's simply a tool, not a belief system. Religion is used by many to find meaning or happiness in their lives, granted some abuse the system as it is indeed open to abuse, just as science is...Science created biological weapons, where's the rational thought in that? Comparing science to religion is like comparing a spanner to a blanket, both have their place and use and both are equally useless when used for a job they aren't intended. P.S A hypothesis of a flat Earth with the sun orbiting it WAS good science, it fit the observable facts and the understanding of celestial physics at the time.

During the entire history of the world, there's ALWAYS been some looming crisis just around the corner... The invention of the Crossbow = the end of civilization, didn't happen Atilla the Hun = the end of civilization, didn't happen Suliman the magnificant = the end of civilization, didn't happen Abolishment of slavery= the end of civilization, didn't happen 70's Oil crisis (were about to run out) = didn't happen and still isn't happening. recently it's been a Nuclear holocust...didn't happen Anthropocentric Global warming = Biggest lie perpetrated on mankind. the muslim Califate ect ect... (Yawn) Why is the world as we know it ALWAYS on the brink of ending? As Dags says, it's to keep the masses in fear, do what you're told, we know best, it you don't the russians will nuke you / Musilims will kill you in your beds / Atilla the hun will slaughter your family.. It's always been so and always will be. Don't buy the hype How many of these portents of doom have come to happen? NONE Personally, I'll believe it when it happens. Sceptical sixfan....

OK forgetting the human reasons for why fatalities are bad.... What's the cost of a fatality? Police, Ambulance, ensuing legal fees, compensation... In the mining industry, a fatality could easily cost over 1 million, cost per crash figures indicate each one costs us 1.7Million dollars! ~150 fatalities occur every year, this figures at ~225M dollars cost to the taxpayer... there are ~30,000 new drivers on the road each year, if training these people at say $400 each results in just a 10% drop in road fatalities, we've saved 13 million a year! Why won't the govenment do anything? Because these scumbag lying self interested parasites KNOW that A: It won't generate an immediate income result, it's a long term solution. B: The bigger killer is the condition of the roads again, this costs money to fix and is a long-term solution. C: So long as people are dying they can justify every b@stard revenue raising tactic by pointing at the road toll, the real thorn here is that it's cheaper to stop the crashes than collect the fines, but, fines = money now, cost saving = money later. Let's see what Krud does, my bet is business as usual as our roads run with blood P.S if you can afford a car, then $200 isn't a big ask for the privilege of driving it.
-
I agree with almost everything you said, I would however add: Better driver training and people aware of their limits and the limits of their vehicles and road conditions is a better solution than a media swamp-campaign aimed at convincing people who get fined for going 5 kph over the limit not to raise merry hell about the injustice of the current revenue generation directed system. Why are the police allowed to exceed the posted limit in the execution of their duties? Because they're better trained and capable of doing so safely. Why not have a public better trained? yep I agree there is a certain percentage of the population that IS inherently stupid, lets identify them and stop them from holding a driver's license. I bet if old mate in the M5 lived to 30, he would have gone nearly as fast and started braking earlier. That is, assuming he'd learned by then that alcohol and cars don't mix.... now, if you are accusing as being one of those people who "have done something stupid" you can stick it where the sun-don't-shine, I wasn't breaking any law and had police go past me in BOTH directions. usually accompanied by a cheerie wave. P.S since the new 130 kph law has come in, I've been good and not been booked, Just because I disagree with a law, I realize I do not have the right to break it.
