  1. They're talking Turbo's and you're talking N/A mate, I think you're all on different pages. And I think someone needs to re-read a few posts, nowhere does it state that an engine blew up and the blame was placed onto the log plenum, useless is just saying that when this was tried on an N/A Motor the power went backwards and the plenum may have been the reason why, he goes on to speculate that the starvation of the latter cylinders may have caused other problems said person experienced. The engine did a few valve springs, didn't exactly 'lunch' itself. I also don't think that something designed to work on a Turbo motor will necessarily mean it will work on an N/A motor. Nor do I think that the Plenums used on Ferrari are as crude as the ones we are talking about here.
  2. Before you start....Do you have Side Airbags? (there will be a tag on the seat that says 'AIRBAG' OR You have leather seats) ? If you do don't even bother as the car Will Not run properly with the seat out, it will think the Airbag has gone off and run in Limp Mode. If it doesn't or you are just after a repair, There are 4 Bolts that hold each front seat down. You will need: 1x Set of allen Keys 1x Flat head screwdriver. Use the screwdriver and a GENTLE hand to pull off the plastic surrounds at the bottom of the seat, each one is connected to the seat base by a metal clip and breaks from the plastic rather easily, so be as gentle yet forceful as you can. Then you will reveal 4 Bolts with Hex/Allen Key heads, Loosening them is the hardest part, after that its just a sh*tload of turns before they come out. After that if you have electric seats or Airbags, you will have to pull the White plastic clip off the bottom of the seat, (it should slide off its rails/holdings). After that open up the casing (best way to describe it, you cant miss it, the plugs have to come out and there will be a clip on one side of it). Then use a smaller flathead screwdriver to disconnect/unplug the plugs and viola! The seat should come straight out. I hope this helps, its not the best description and I don't have any pics but just take your time and you should be right. Cheers,
  3. Sounds good mate, I'd be interested. Its a bit far off to be able to be 100% sure but I'll see how it pans out.
  4. G'day Cameron. As far as exhausts go, the vast majority seem to have gone with the 2.5" Mandrel bent system, metal core cat and pacemaker headers to great results. A fair few have also utilized second hand parts and used XR6T cat back exhausts (dual 2.25' System) to minimize costs while keeping a great system. As far as headers go (I havnt got any yet so this isnt from experience), but most people seem to agree that the Pacemakers headers are best suited for the N/A 6 B series cars. There are Standard Pacemakers headers and Competition headers, competition headers are said to be the better of the two but come at a greater price. Hope this helps. Also most of the blokes here hail from fordforums where there are a ton of guys (and gals) modding N/A 6s and have great knowledge on these matters.
