Hey all, Been an inactive member for a few years, used to have a BA XR6 Turbo back in the day but have since gone through a VY Calais and then a Diesal Jetta and now looking to get back into the XR6T camp FG styles! On the prowl for an auto FG XR6T in Octane

Me and my mate will definatly come for this. I have the T which I hope to be stage1'ed by then and my mate has a VX SS with a few mods. Vazard + 1 :D

All I can say is It begins...

Its a manual and got a few plans. Once I sell my current car I'm going to put the money into a T56 and drop it into the T, then probably a Nizpro Stage 1 and maybe cooler but I'm sure I wont stop there.

Hey guys, You may remember I was looking at an octane BFII a while back well I've decided to go cheap and just get the basics. So I bought a 2002 BA XR6T in Silhouette with 120,000 (bit high but you know) with standard sound and standard everything, I really wanted prem sound mainly for the LCD as I was planning on a carputer setup, but I am always buy the ICC later. Got it for 21k drive away. I'm also planning to stripe it octane (the side stripes, not the ones down the middle). Picking it up around 2:00 and then its straight to the exhast shop for a middle muffler chop. Will post pics later/tommorow :D Oh and I bought it from a Expensive Daewoo dealership which I thought was funny.

I think I'll try hang out for the Orion, I know if it comes out and its awesome I'm going to kick myself. However I might be heading down to Ford later today for a test drive of a BF turbo as I've still never even driven one lol Thanks for the replies though, hopefully as more information comes out about the orion and we have some concrete stuff/pics then I will pre-order one :D

I looked a bit closer and yes it is excluding GST. But since it calculates the GST of the total lease wouldnt it still work out fairly cheap? It says the price ex GST then says "GST saved on purchase price: $3726" Then at the total costs it has: GST Payable on Lease and Running Cost: $1661 Less Input Tax Credits Available: ($1661) GST on Post Tax Deduction: $745 The company is NLC. Hi guys, Long time listener, first time caller. Ive been reading these forums for quite a while now and its almost time to take the plunge. What I've been wanting to get for a long time is BF Mk II XR6 Turbo Auto Octane Leather Premium Sound (standard now) Now I was originally going to wait for the orion but the fact that the orion will be near 45k just for base and things like auto, leather, premium sound (if that's an option) will probably tally up to over 50k which is just too much. Ive been quoted 38k for the above BFII through novated lease. First of all I think that's a pretty good price, do novated lease companys get better deals because when I got a quote through the ford dealer it was more around 45k. Second how much will the price drop from here, when runout time hits closer to orion I know it will be alot cheaper but will it really be worth the wait? Unless I save another 2-3k+ then id rather just get it now. (My insurance + rego is due on my other car) Also with novated lease I presume the car is yours to do as you please (ie mod it)?
