I dont understand why people say the leather is harder to clean... you must be wearing some dirty clothes. I've never had any dramas with stains or dirt, just use a good conditioner. Mate, its a great car just be careful not to get speeding tickets.

I bought my wife a G6ET as her family run around. She has never mentioned a problem about kicking out. Its a solid car, if this thread was about a ute for your wife, then I would agree! Dorko

I worked out its about $2100 difference a year in net cash. Yes you are right that its about $40 a week extra or two packs of cigs a week. However over 5 years that's a little over $10k net cash. Doesn't matter which way you throw the figures its still $10k more net cash. Anyway as you said you got the colour and 0kms, but in my opinion a colour isn't worth the difference in net cash. Keeping with the original thread, I am also interested in what others are paying for a 50th edition. Dorko

Interesting reading over this thread. My opinion on saving approx $10k based on a colour and a few extra specs is silly. I find it hard to understand why you would pay so much money when so many of us have bought the car is the mid $40's. Sure the 50th is a limited range, but lets be honest its a Ford and resell value is poor in 3-5 years. I'm not to sure about Harryh comment about net tax, if the car is 10k cheaper you can still salary sacrifice or have it as a business deduction. The only difference financially is the colour of the car and a limited badge. Anyway enjoy the car Dorko

Took the plunge and should be picking up a demo 2010 GE6T in Silver late next week, I think it has 10k on the clock and comes with 19'& mats. Pretty happy for the price at $44k drive away and got what we want for my wifes fiesta. The best thing is it has the lighter colour leather which is the colour of choice! Bring on the good times! Fairly old thread, just reading to find out what this LSD does and doesnt do. I havent been on this forum for years and its good to be back. However back to the LSD issue, what is the big deal? I drove the car and it was a huge leap forward compare to a BF! HUGE! If you want a solid Ford sports car, buy a FPV. For the people on a budget, buy a XR6T. For the classy people that enjoys both performance and luxury you cant look past a G6ET. I fell in love with this car whilst looking for a run around car for my wife and the new bubs. I drive a $100k Land Rover and I said to my wife I would be happy to drive her car a few days a week. Its truly a impressive drive. I read the Land Rover forum and its the similar problem with people. You can get a 3L engine with 19' shoes or 2.7L with 17' shoes. 3L engine can't downside the rims due to the bigger brakes and yet the '4WD experts' say its not as good offroad. Personally its a load of sh*t yet someone that has had 2 minutes behind the wheel and a hour on google thinks they are a expert. Ford done a good job with the range of cars and as discussed the G6ET is know rally car around corners but overall a bloody impressive drive! Dorko

Wow this is a Liberal Topic...... Geeez... Everyone is against Labour saying Rudd is gutless. Wake up! John Howard was the biggest toss bang that could not stand up for the country.
