At the top of the page ive listed the parts im after, but that list will be narrowed down now cause ive bought a cat from carbz and looks like im onto a brand new process west 2.2 kit from a forum memeber, love this place!. As for the new shoes, are you referring to me? cause it just so happens ive recently bought 20's for my ute
2. C'mon lads, anyone interested in any bits at all?
3. I got my centre muffler taken out yesterday 2005 BF turbo ute and had the same thing done to my old nov 02 Xrt sedan, both sound similar from the outside but the ute is louder inside the cab, im guessing the tray with the hard lid acts like a bit of a amp, but it doesnt drone oar anything on the highway, should be able to get it back on the dyno soon to see what difference it makes

Sct Xcal 3

Hi all, just curious as to what kind of adjustments you guys are able to make with your hand controller for the xcal3, Ive heard generally they come with most of the parameters locked out so for example you can only take timing out and add fuel. Reason being I can adjust mine it seems about 15 degrees each way for ignition timing, although its only in sections from 0-2000rpm, then 2000rpm-4000rpm and 4000-8000rpm, wastegate adjustments from about 40% upwards, and adjust fuel richer or leaner, play with thermo fan settings etc. I havnet had a custom tune and have only run the generic 10psi tune once on the dyno and the afr's were too lean, Im waiting for the rest of my components to turn up and fit them before getting a custom tune, I was just curious as to what others have found with their flash tuners so far? cheers Mic
6. I was under the impression that anything from ba mk11 onwards had the f6 bottom end but let me know if you find out anything more cause id like to know aswell, I have a November 2005Bf t-ute
7.
Speak to Rapid about your 5" Cat. He currently has a special on them. $150 plus $15 postage.
Cheers bloke I will have to get onto that next week, just bought 20" wheels and tyres. Starting to get pretty impatient with it all though, if I can get the numbers who also want the same gear its more money in my pocket I supose
8. Well all I have so far is a X3 flash tuner so Im after heaps -Process west S2.2 intercooler and pipe kit -60lb siemens injectors -Walbro in-tank pump -process west surge tank and bosch 044 -4 inch dump -5 inch cat
9. Jeri, I know you have the 12psi actuator, but have you had the wastegate and larger flapper fitted, Im guessing so with the larger dump?
10. Hey mate, its mic welsh here from gladstone, saw your ute up at the car show on the weekend, very nice. Have to organise a cruise or something soon

11. I had a black Ed for my first car, had 14" dragways on her, was pretty fat for a first car. A mate had El fairmont for his first car, that was 6years ago, he still has it but it now has a turbo an isn't too bad. I got to drive my ute for a day before I had to go back out west for work and it nearly killed me being without it for 5 days, but now I get 5 to enjoy it, gonna race at the test and tune at benaraby this weekend to get a timeslip for how it stock as a rock, then start violating it. Cant wait!
12. Yeah mate sure does, I was gonna try to meet a few blokes from the forum down that way but I only had 3days off this stint cause im hungry for the overtime to spend on the ute, bloody mortgages. Yaris' are not a bad little car, had a "friend" that had one and thrashed it a bit. good fun in small doses
13. Well lads, I flew to melbourne on monday, and picked the ute up from binks ford deer park from the used car department, I was on the on road tuesday morning at 9:30am and started the 2200km trip home which was fun considering vic roads gave a unregistered vehicle permit that's valid for 14days to get it home, didn't need 14 though. two drivers and 21hrs later including stops that would give the V8 teams a run for their money, she never skipped a beat the whole way home, couldn't be happier to be driving a xrt again
14. Upgrade or nothing mate, I sold mine so I could buy a house and regretted it, I should have just got a better job in the first place so I could have done both from the beginning
15. Hey lads, after selling my XR6t 3 years ago (and regreting every single day since) flying to melbourno on the 5th of july then driving the 2100kms home, cant wait
16. I hope that never happens, I don't care what justification there is for goin to a V6, all you need to do Is work on a straight six and a v6 and you will know what one is better... but im lazy
17. Mate sorry to hear, I scored a BA phoon motor when I was doing my apprenticeship, blew the crown out of number 5 piston, Its been sitting under my oldies house since I finished my time and got a better job to buy a house, now that's done Im pricing up all the goods to rebuild it, If your not going to build it yourself, the atomic bottom end is definately the way to go, If you still want a hand, Im keen to help wip that motor out, if you supply the tools, plane ticket, a couch for the night and some booze I will be there, Im 600km north in Gladstone....haha
18. I agree, when I raced my car down the 1/4 mile when I was stock and then after the generic flash tune ( rev limit was still 5650rpm on each and I run my best time shifting at 5200rpm, launches were within .1 of each other, The power started to drop off after that anyway. Each of mates xr8 and xr6t mk1 I moded for them all had 5650 rpm rev limiter before the tunes, the xr8 went to 6200 after the tune, same with the xr6t but we changed the valve springs first.
19. Im not entirely sure with the FG as I don't work there anymore, but the with the ba-bf the factory PCM would log a p1085 and another code, I cant remember the exact number, but each of the codes indicate a separate fault, and the only evidence that ford could have was that both codes would occur after a flash tune, this COULD and HAS been contested in that it was said that at some stage or another a fault relating to those two codes had occured, but at the time of test, was ok. This is assuming all other modded componets that are visible had been removed, I assume the fg would possibly be a similar scenario. But if you still have the bug, atleast be prepared for the consequences.
20. Standard straight from the factory in mk1 the rev limit was 5650rpm in the manuals, the autos used to flair slightly during shift, when the mk11 came out is was the same and that's when the phoon came out with bigger bottom end, the mk11 xrt and the phoon shared the bigger rods, however the phoon had slightly less compression( 8.64:1 as apposed to the xr6t 8.7:1) I know this cause Im reading the BA MK11 phoon,GT and GT-P new model introductory course I did when I was at ford. Normally the rev rev limit is increased from 5650rpm to 620rpm after heavy duty valve springs are fitted. I see in your signiature under mods, you have valve springs listed, did you get them fitted or did you purchase the vehicle like that?
21. Before I sold my xr6t it was pretty much stock, redline was 5650rpm,
22. Maybe he meant 250rwHORSE POWER on 5 psi?
23. Hi guys Still on the hunt for rods, waiting an email back from nizpro on a price, but in the mean time I found these, Par forged pistons What do you think?
24. My apologies for the previous post, I was taking the piss instead of helping out..my bad. Like what all the other guys have said its most likely the rev limiter and its around 5650rpm or there abouts, your partner didn't have a small turbo car previously did he...silvia, 180sx, skyline or anything else like that, If so that adds weight to the limiter theory, those little cars usually only start to get going around the same time as the falcon hits the rev limiter, but the falcon will pull harder down lower. You said the car was getting a service next week, the best thing to do, no matter what fault you think you have is to go for a drive with one of the mechanics before you leave the dealer, Im sure most dealers will do this. I know I used to have to go for drives with customers all the time, they can tell you yay or nay as to whether its normal or not. But youve come to the right place, plenty of cluey guys and girls on here who are willing to help... let us know how you go
25. that's gold, He should have checked the 710 cap while he changed the coils, Its a common mistake
